Default I am so down in the dumps that's why I've been so MIA lately

Well that an eBay. It was spring selling time. Anyway I am just about as low as low can get. My surgery did not go through on the 11th. I am battling it out with the insurance. The littlest ittiest bittiest piddliest of things keeps getting me hung up, and then my doctor drags his feet about getting the paperwork done and all the while I feel like this surgery is NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. I can't stop obsessing about food and the diet my nutrionist put me on has me in all sorts of fits. AUGH. I also gained 7lbs over the holidays so now I am at an all time high of 327. I KNOW that if I don't lose weight before my next doctor's visit my surgeon is going to come down hard on me so I've been trying my best to stay close to my diet. Everytime I'm in there he tries to bully me into joining a gym. I'VE LOST WEIGHT BEFORE. A TON OF WEIGHT AS A MATTER OF FACT and I always did it w/o going to the gym. Walking with weights has proven to be very effective for me. This last glitch with the insurance was b/c of a TYPO. My surgeon's secretary accidently put 2200 cals instead of 1200 cals, and now my surgeon is OOT for the day and who knows when they can coordinate again. The secretary has to get permission to resubmit the information (WTH? ). I could just CRY. I hate my body, I hate navigating through life in this body. I went shopping last weekend with DH & DD and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror at Marshalls and I am HIDEOUS. I cannot even stand the sight of myself. I hate trying to get off of the couch. I hate being controlled by food. I hate everything about myself right now. I so thought I would have had my surgery by now. I have got to dig deep and find some kind of inspiration to get me through my tomorrows. I'm beginning to fear that I will NEVER be approved. Thanks for listening. Was I missed? Did you all notice I wasn't here??

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

IM SORRY YOUR GOIN THRU THIS!!!

I real dont know what to say!!!!!!
YES you were missed!!!!

I know right now this is the stinkiest of things!
but things happen for a reason. I am certain
once the messes are fixed your papers will go
thru and you will get a new date!

(((HUG))))...i know nothing helps that feeling you feel.
i had to move my surgery date out 2 weeks and i hated
that...but no one was available to watch my kids....and
they knew for months my plans to have the surgery ...
but it happens and happens for a reason. AND i learned that
after....anyway

HANG in their, try not to loose control of your eating and gain!
LOOSEING weight and not gaining now makes the surgery far more
safer for you. In order to have lap surgery you cant have an enlarged
liver (unless you were gonna have open anyway, which some do)...
my surgeon requires 10 percent of your weight lost pre op!

SO keepin all my fingers and toes crossed all this gets better!
AND plz even during rought moments do come and post!
thats when you need us most!
all the best
hugs

butterflygirl, please just hang in there. I understand, believe me. But the surgery WILL happen, and before you know it you'll be looking for excuses to look in that mirror!

Default Hugs Butterfly!

You sure do need a great big WLS forums hug right now, sweetie, and of course we miss you. It sure is difficult while going through the process of everything before getting approved. Hang in there kiddo. I know it seems like the end of the world right now, and your life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes and dreams, but CHIN UP. Your day will come. The mirror thing is awful isn't it? All of us have been in front of that same mirror once or twice. We know how you feel. Just keep this in mind when I say it. YOU ARE A STRONG WOMAN, AND WILL GET APPROVED. IT MAY NOT BE WHEN YOU HAD HOPED, BUT YOU WILL BE ON THE LOSING SIDE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. A person that has been where we have been, has to be one strong individual, to endure snears, looks, yah, even remarks from people over the years. Just remember butterfly, you are one beautiful person, and so full of life, who one day very soon, will get her reward. I can't wait for the post butterfly is approved. THAT DOES SOUND GREAT, DOESN'T IT. CHIN UP, as I said before.

Awww, T, (((((((HUGS))))))))
Yes, I was wondering why you weren't around for a while.
Don't give up, your day will come.
As for the gym, your surgeon probably doesn't mean for you to lose weight that way, he wants you to get used to exercising at the gym, and build up some muscle before surgery, so you will have it easier after surgery. Gym necessarily isn't about losing weight, it's actually about building up your muscle so you have a more energy cost effective body.
(((((((((HUGS)))))))) Keeping you in my prayers.

Red face Tina:

((((((HUG))))))

Oh Babe....I'm soooo sorry for all the cr@p you are going thru!! You have been truly missed sweetheat!

I've been a little scarce around this board lately b/c Isabella has been really sick...and now she's given it to me!!

I'm hoping that your doctor will get his act together...and work thru all your paperwork...and that all the details will be corrected - and that you will get a quick approval!

I know you are eager to get yourself to the Loosers bench! I know how you are feelin right now, I was JUST EXACTLY where you are! I was 'suppose' to loose 25#'s b/4 surgery. I didn't needless to say....and was soooo embarassed. Last Christmas I gained 13#'s....and completely ruined the progress I had started. In fact I think by surgery day I had gained 8#'s more!!!

I'm sooo sorry you are depressed sweetie....keep your chin up....you day IS coming. God's perfect timing....you will see. It will all work out at the perfect time for a very specific reason.

My situation was a lot like Lisa's...if my surgery would've happened any earlier or later - I wouldn't have either had childcare...or wouldn't have been ready for our big move 6 weeks after my surgery! God's timing WAS SOOO PERFECT in my case....and will be for your's too!!

LOVE you GIRL!!!
Keep your chin up!!!
