| For those who have been following my insurance struggles
I went to my primary care manager todat she is just awesome. I showed her the letter that the Medical Center sent me and she typed everything up and gave me a copy of all my labs she just had done a few weeks ago. So I then called the Medical center to see what was next and she said I should get a letter from Tricare telling me I am apporoved for the surgery plus 1 year worth of post op visits and then they at the same time will get a letter saying the same and they will call me and schedule my dietician meetings and my surgery. I am so stoked. I had to do the same thing with my tubal ligation surgery so I am pretty sure this shouldnt be so hard.

Yeah Becka! I am in a similar situation. My case is at BC/BS, and I am waiting to hear about approval.
My surgery center did things a little different though. I have already met with the dietician, psychiatrist and surgeon. My surgeon is the same guy who removed my gallbladder. He is so funny! Yes a surgeon with a sense of humor. He asked me why I didn't tell him I wanted WLS when I was getting my gallbladder out he could have done them at the same time. I told him I was in pain from the gallbladder and didn't think any farther than that. He comes back with, "Well, I guess it's a good thing anyway, it gave me a year and a half to practice on other people."
Tomorrow I get an EKG with my primary care doctor, and next Friday I meet with the dietician again. Hopefully my approval will be back by then and they will schedule the surgery.
It's so exciting when it starts coming together isn't it?!!!!
