Default My husband is resigning from the church

Yesterday my husband and I had a real heart to heart. I knew that he was having a hard time lately with his job ( he is on call 24/7) and we live over an hour one way. Lately he has been called to the job 2-3 times in one day and his stress level is crazy. Not only going to work but then pastoring a church and taking care of me daily. It has gotten to be too much.

So yesterday he told me what I have been expecting for some time now. He is going to resign the church that we started almost 10 years ago from the ground up. He said he believes he has done all he can for the chirch and that his time is up there. I have seen this coming now for sometime and I am in agreement with him that he has done all he can do. The only thing is that when we started this church and prurchased the building and land it sits on we never figured we would leave because our love was so deep. For this reason we built our house on the property. Now that he has decided to resign we lose it all including our home. But to be honest at thispoint and time my husbands peace of mind means more to me than the house. My biggest concern is that we have not paid rent in over 5 years and we will be moving into an apartment near his job and have to pay a good chunk out of his paycheck. To him that is worth it. He said "I just can,t do it anymore and because the church is to small to support him full time he has to continue to work his job.

Please pray because I don't think the people are expecting this at all and it is going to be hard on them and us to leave. Also we have a 17 yeR od who has to trasfer to a new school. She cried at first but by the end of the evening she was getting excited. This is a huge major move for our family we will be leaving everyone we know and starting over at the age of 52 who in their right mind walks away from it all at that age??? I pray we are doing the right thing

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Wow. BIG life decision at such a crucial healing (physical) for you. I am sure you two are making the right decision. It seems very prayerful in nature and it isn't like you are banished...you can visit after you leave!

Hang in there. I hope you can also get the medical care you need in your new hometown.

This decision has long been coming for him. I hate the fact it comes whem I am having problems with my surgery. I have not been to church in 11 weeks.
and there is a great possibility I will not be around when he resigns or the move if I get to go to rehab. As a matter of fact I don't even get to pick the apartment put if I go to rehab it will be my husband and daughter. It's a good thing they know my taste.

This is gonna be a huge change for us. Last night my daughter was crying and said " dad how do you just walk away from the church you started and the church I was raised in ?". He told her it was something he had to do not wanted to do but that he had to do this. how do you just walk away from 9 years of blood sweat and tears not to mention your home to go live in an apartment? Man I pray my husband is doing the right thing or we will suffer right along with him. But then again it could be a great new begging for our family.

I know that you wouldn't go rushing into this just to do something different. Sounds like the Lord is calling you to a different path. No telling what the future holds, but He'll let you know when it's right.

For me, the age was never an issue in this kind of deal. I was 40 when I quit a good job and moved two states to return to grad school. Tossed the safety net and followed the path we believed the Lord wanted us on. What's easy and what's right aren't often the same thing. I was a couple of years older than you are when I left the best company I'd ever worked for and traded the corporate world for a professorship. Left a huge bonus check and took a 30% pay cut, but we are happy.

Just remember, your health is more important than packing the china. Your primary task is getting well, then you can drive everyone crazy moving the furniture around the new place!

God will be with you and He will watch over you through all this. It's always been our experience that He's pretty good about stuff like that!!
