 |  Aaarrrrgggghhhh! I need to vent. I am so mad at myself I could just kick me in the butt. Everything was going great, got my approval, got the new A1C, been following the diet expecting it to be under 7.0. NOOOOOOO! It went up from 7.2 to 7.3!!!!!! Now I have to wait another month and take another blood test, so I think I am looking at another six weeks in the least until surgery. They were very nice, said they could send me to an endocronologist to tweak my meds, or I could go back to my PCP. I opted to go back to my PCP because I know one of the meds can be bumped up slightly and that may make the difference. I also need to get off my butt and start exercising! Okay, I'm done with the rant, feel free to give me a kick in the butt, I need it!

HANG in there your date will come! AND your just gonna fight harder to get things in place before this date! YOUR so close we can taste it. I know i had to move my given surgery date out and that devastated me! so hang in there your going to get to the loosers bench!

| Super Moderator  | Awwww, (((((((HUGS))))))) What is your fasting glucose level, and your random glucose level? Do you know that ADA (American Diabetes Association) reccomendation for diabetics having elective surgery is, on admission, 1) fasting glucose level below 126mg/dl (7mmol/l) and 2) all random glucose level below 200mg/dl (11.1mmmol/l) and no reference to A1C. You know A1C takes a couple of months to come down, so if your glucose level meets the above conditions, ask your surgeon what he/she thinks. Good luck!!

5' 6" Height: | That stinks! After your surgery, though chances are good that you won't have as many problem with your diabetes as now. I was off all meds. within 2 weeks. That should give you a little extra incentive. |
