| okay the dreaded topic...hair thinning/loss
ALRIGHT here i go ranting again on the hair issue.
I am now 9 1/2 months out and i still pull big
blobs from the drain. I was under the impression
it was gonna stop around now.
ANYBODY loose past this point. MINE started this phase
between 3 and 4 months out.....I have new growth, i have
taken the biotin since well before surgery. I am very strict
and get in plenty of protein....I have cut my hair much
shorter to help reduce this but its not helping......
JUST curious when this will stop! YEAH u guessed it buddies
im very VAIN about my hair....guess all those fat years it was
my focus....

I can understand how this would be really hard for you. I will admit that I am really vain about my hair and my, well....my boobs. I am a little worried also about the loss of either due to weight loss. I hope that your hair loss starts to slow down and that it grows back quickly. I know that one of the stipulations of me getting surgery was I made my husband agree that if my "girls" started drooping and diminishing, then he would pay to refill and relift. I know that my insurance covers the reconstructing of breasts from breast cancer, but who knows, by then they may consider it a reconstructive surgery due to dramatic weight loss. If not, our tax returns will be well spent. Good luck, and sorry I couldn't help you out.

That is so funny. I have a friend that is quite "blessed" also in that area, and she is VERY embarrassed by it though. I am not so embarrassed. Don't get me wrong, I am not on any Girls Gone Wild movies or nothing, but I don't get offended when they are noticed. I really look forward to being able to wear something push up. I never did understand why people assume that just cuz we have plenty, that we wouldn't appreciate having them pushed up instead of staring at the ground....:P I will always care sweetie, you are too awesome to not care about.

Lisa, your weight loss might have to settle down a bit more, before you can really tell the difference. You may have to be patient a bit more, but rest assured, it will come back completely, once your entire system adjusts to the new you.
Aren't we all vain about our hair? Premature grayness runs in my family, and while at first, I didn't really mind my hair starting to turn gray, once I saw in a snap shot how wan I looked with gray hair, I had to go off and have it dyed It now has a reddish hue in the black, and I love it, but I know when I start losing mine with age (which is not reversible ) I am going to panic |

Just try to remember if worse comes to worse, it is a lot easier to buy and put on a wig, then it is to find a miracle corset to suck our fat in. We love you Lisa and I hope that you get out of the blues again soon. Maybe you just need some really good weather to help perk up.

| Hey Pillows... Great Analogy... wig vs corset LOL I know my hair and fingernails have been the only things I have liked about myself for so long that I may just have some separation anxiety when it starts to fall out. Hey Lisa, You are looking great… Keep up the protein and vitamins and it will get better. Have a great day |

What you are going through is perfectly understandable, we will simply have to find a way to perk you up a bit. Anyone know a good joke?
