I'm just under a year out. I can eat red meat without much problem. Sometimes hamburger sits like a lump in my stomach, but tenderloin works well for me. I can eat bread and pasta, but it fills me up too much so I keep it to a minimum. Mostly meat, fish, low fat/sugar dairy and fruits & veges. I will indulge in sweets a little, but not too much. As they say here..."Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels".

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I am not a big fan of bread. I eat red meat once in a while. I too like to stay within the rules/zone for WLS patients. It is easier that way. Easier to plan and shop etc..... When trying something new be careful because it could go either way and stay close to the bathroom just in case.....

I live on red meat! It's the best (and I loved it preop too!) I have no problems eating a 2-4 oz filet! As to pasta, I haven't really had any yet...I am more a "carb-a-phobic" than anything. I have had a few bites of a "wrap" (low carb tortilla) which was OK, and I also have enjoyed some Wasa crackers (low carb crackers) with my salmon salad or cottage cheese.
I'm making spaghetti squash today to substitute for pasta tonight with our Chicken primavera! Yum!
Warmly,
Jackie
