Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  Goodmorning! Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Down morning here, taking it easy and just cleaning up a bit. Weather is supposed to get nicer tomorrow so will be out and about prob the whole weekend lol. I am so ready for summer ...done with the snow and ice and brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I do have to say, i am very greatful that i am living back in the city during this time because i think back to when i had my house on the island, when the weather was to cold that was an excuse to not do anything unless i had to go to work. And even then it was just a car ride to work. Here in the city i have to go out and bring the kids to school , walk walk walk even in the cold weather. WHen it was really cold i would get the kids on the bus and then some days not even get out of my pjs. WOnder why i was so heavy then?? hmmmmm.. I am just greatful for this surgery and for my life back here in nyc.. Ok done rambling...sorry...lol... LittleLisaMarie

| Super Moderator  |  Good morning back to you, LisaMarie, good to see you so bright and chipper.  It is almost 11:00 PM here  and though I am the typical night owl, I am going to call it an early night, as I will be attending a workshop on WLS and Obesity and Diabetes all day tomorrow, and it's going to be an hour's train ride to where it will take place. After that, I will be having dinner with some lap and probably a couple of bariatric surgeons, as the person who forwarded me the notice of this workshop is a Japanese lap surgeon (who is good friends with Craig) and he asked me if I would like to join them for dinner after the meet. Wonderful chance for me to talk to these people and get to know them, and get some input from them. I'll probably end up asking 'em Qs upon Qs. Incidentally, this workshop will most likely be in English, or bilingual at least, since a number of the speakers scheduled are drs from the US, and also from Latin America, as well as from Japan and Asia, so it should be interesting. I hope I will be able to get as least one or two good info that I can post for y'all.

I did have a plastics question... how long did you weight to get yours done. I'm only in two weeks I'll be approaching 7 moths out and I really need to start toning up or consider plastics. also, if you don't mind me asking... did your insurance cover it or did you have to pay out of pocket? Please don't tell me how much. I was just really wondering. how much skin did they take off? Like what size were you before and what size are you now? You look amanzing!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I try to stay positive as much as i can, dont get me wrong i have my down days too but in general i try to stay positive and keep positive people around me. THe plastics stuff. Well i was One year and 3 mths out when i had the tummy tuck. It was actually a benefit of another problem i was having. I had a tumor in my abdomen that needed to be removed. Because of the location of the tumor and the muscle involvement reconstruction was necessary .. I was able to have it fully covered. I totally lucked up. The tumor was benign and i am doing great. Generally the surgeon likes you to be stable with your weight for at least 6 mths before they will begin to think about plastics. My weight is pretty stable these days around 125. All my jeans are big on me now so i am thinking i went down to a size 2 but have not yet tried a pair on. Hope some of that helps. LittleLisaMarie
