(Sorry, it's only in Japanese, and though the particular set is in white, of course we have colorful plates, with all kinds of motifs.)
A basically flat square or oblong plate with a matching small saucer for soy sauce is what is shown here.
Basically, our tableware are not matched the way Western tableware are, e.g. different size plates, cups, saucers etc in the same design. So, you can choose a set of plates, and then choose a set of small saucers (round is the norm for this, though the store site has square design) for the soy sauce. Different designs are fine so long as they are in harmony in theme or color or motif. You can show your great taste and coordination talents here.
With chopsticks, Chinese ones and Japanese ones are a little bit different. The Chinese ones are longer, and often made of ivory, but Japanese ones are just under 20cm in length and the best ones are wood ones that are laquered.
