Congrats on the baby, when are you due?
Keep in touch with an experienced nutritionist and control your diet closely.
Following some of the dietary guidelines for preganant diabetic patients can help.
Specifically, add 150 kcals to your own daily dietary needs the first half of your pregnancy, add 350 kcals the latter half, and add 600 kcals while breast feeding. Drop those added calories as soon as you don't need them, because if you don't, that will be added calories on you.
Also, regular exercise is necessary, to help control your weight, and to keep you fit for a safe and easy delivery.
We've had several members who's had babies, but we don't see them around much any more, I guess they all are busy with their new family, which I'm happy for them, but just a wee bit sad, because we can't share the joy.
