|  I did it!!!! One week POST !!
I am soooo happy! My surgery was totally textbook, no complications, no pain since the first day after, liquids are staying down and OMG, I can't believe how wonderful 2 ounces of soupy oatmeal tastes. I am on cloud nine. I have my drain removed tomorrow and will find out how much I have lost. Thank you so very much for all the support. I find that I do tire easily and want to 'nap' but I am not hungry at all and am so excited about being on the losing side. I am soooo happy.   |

WOW Girl!!! You are awesome.... I know you are sooooo blessed that everything was "textbook"....that is wonderful! I do remember my early days & weeks....I layed like broccoli in my recliner...and ate soup for my "meals"...and drank them out of a 1oz. medicinal plastic cup! AND that filling me up?!?! I was shocked.... Be sure to get you liquids - that was difficult for me....but I eventually got the hang of it! So, You are going to your "doctor" tomorrow?? I'm sure that will be when they weigh you....I was SHOCKED....I lost nearly 17#'s....and couldn't believe it!! CONGRATS...AGAIN !!! | |

Donna----way to go---I dearly love following the progress of newbies---it keeeps me grounded so to speak----for those of us much further out we can get so caught up in the day to day we forget where we came from---and for me personally that forgetfullness spells disaster--I become complacent and tend to get slack on my food choices and exercising---
so being here as the pre op and newbies are just getting going is a real inspiration to me....thanks for allowing me to share your journey with you...hugs to you...
