Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Help!!!! I was doing so well with Easter. I bought very little chocolate for my kids Easter baskets as not to tempt me. Well would you believe that my son won a 2 ft chocolate rabbit at an Easter egg hunt! Well its on my dining room table. The aroma is awesome. I would throw it out but my son who is 8 yrs old is so proud of it. I broke down and had a good size piece on Easter and yesterday. It didnt bother my pouch one bit! Im very disgusted. I know just get back on track today but I cant believe that the chocolate didnt bother me. Makes things tough knowing that it wont bother me in the future. Luckily I didnt gain anything. Any advice???? |

| Super Moderator | Best to keep away from 'em... But, I do realize it's kinda difficult, putting it away, since your son is very proud, but since Easter is over, I think you have a good reason to talk him into putting it away out of sight. ((((((HUGS))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Put it in his room or in the living room or some room where you won't have to see it so much. Just tell your son you found a "special" place for it.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | You are human, we are all going to make mistakes, God knows I have, so try not to beat yourself up over this. Just try to stay away from it as much as possible, maybe tell him to take a small chunk off of it for himself and put the rest in the freezer. So you don't have to see it all the time! I did the same thing with Easter, my mom even said where is the chocolate?? I said at the store, because I knew that the person that would be eating the chocolate would be me. My kids prefer Starburts and stuff like that, all these years I have been buying the chocolate for me, not for my boys!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Well the best advice was to confess! TAKE a deep breath and now get back on track! SORRY to learn that chocolate didnt make you dump! I know some of us need that wish i did. JUST get on track and drink lots of water. PERHAPS for future temptations keep a chocolate protein bar on hand for caveing moments. GOT me thru the first 12 months staying away from the real stuff! GOOD LUCK! and get back on track now!

| I agree with Hazel, put it in the freezer. That way he will still have his bunny but it won't be in sight.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Its totally understandable because those bunnys look so good! However just because you didnt get sick this time , if you do it again you very well could.... so that may help prevent you from trying it again. We are all human and our surgery was done on our stomach not our brain. We will all slip up every now and then, how we deal with the slip up will determine our success. If we take the mistake and run with it like we did in the past, that could be trouble. But if you just pick yourself up , not look back and just look forward you will be fine. Its over and done with time to move forward. You are doing so well just focus on all the good you have done. We are here for ya!LittleLisaMarie ![]() |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was going to say what Lisa said, the next time it could make you sick. Sometimes I get very sick and sometimes I don't when I eat a little too much of one thing so try not to be too hard on yourself ( Iknow I had some chocolate covered peanut butter and wish I hadn't) butwe are human!! |

| Heck, with my own personal experience, putting it away wouldn't help me. Just knowing it is in the house would be enough for me. I try my darndest just not to buy that sort of stuff, but I know, it was Easter. I have kids as well. It is very hard for me as well lately, to have the control needed to keep pluggin along. I have done both.......fell off the wagon, and patted myself on the back when I had enough control to stay away from it. I call that my self support. lol I just don't let it get me down, when I fall off. I just realize, we all have to take resposibility for our actions, and move on. I usually don't give it a second thought. Just wanted to let you know, you are not alone in what you did. Their are many others who have done the same thing. HANG IN THERE KIDDO! mike |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Choc is my weakness! It is so hard to get past all the easter candy that is around this time on the year and the halloween candy and the christmas candy. I know what you mean about the smell! I comend you for admitting you weakness. Just don't let this one little thing make you feel weak! It is only a small park of a greater good! Anna ![]()
