Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  3-week surgivesary and 26lbs down! Today is my three week surgiversary date and I'm down 26lbs - almost 10% of my weight!!! And only a wee 9lbs from THREEDOM!!! She had thought that I was still on course for my surgery here in the states and that I was still caught up in the red tape mess of that. I told her that I went out of the states and she was shocked at first, but I showed her all my labs, showed her my incisions (all but completely healed, I have one itty bitty stitch that's poking out and she told me I could snip that off). She was impressed that my drainage tube wound was completely closed at just three weeks post op. She asked why my surgeon wouldn't see me here and I told her that he *would* he just wanted a 10 thousand dollar rider, lol. She wants me to start taking iron since my labs were low for iron in Bogota, and so I've got to find a liquid supplement for iron. ::shudder::: Anyway at the end of our appt she said I'll see you in a month and I said yep that's pretty much what Dr. Whos-It would say, and she laughed and said, "except he would charge you 10 thousand dollars." She SO ROCKS!! And then she called me by my maiden name which is totally apropos of nothing, but she's been my doctor for 12 years now and I've only been married for 7! The weight loss rocks and I suspect is going to be a great motivator. Thanks for all of the encouragement. You are allll so 'loverly' as my DD would say.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | 3 weeks out Butterfly Girl, Wow this is wonderful! That is a great 3 week loss. Were you on liquids the whole time. When you mean you went out of country do you mean you went to Mexico to have the surgery done? Do you mind me asking? I am still waiting just to get out of dictation from my first visit. It is making me crazy! My first visit was March 22nd and no movement. Good work for the first three weeks. Keep up the good work. I hope to be with on the losing side soon. Anna
