Question My tummy is full and I can't drink water...

I don't know what is going on. For a week now I have had a continal 'fullness' feeling even between meals and and overly full feeling after, even eating just 2 oz. Last night I had some baked chicken, about 2-3 oz and a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese. About 15 mins later, I hurt so bad, felt overly full and just went to bed and tried to get comfortable. This am, I woke up feeling basically the same. I just got to work and don't feel like I can take my meds or even a bite of yogurt. I have taken 2 sips of water and I feel so full. I even feel like I have swallowed a tennis ball. I know I MUST push the water, but each sip...hurts. Any suggestions?

P.S. I am 4 weeks out.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

DO you possibly think sometihng is stuck in ur opening to the stoma?????
we tend to get taht early out??????
early out this becomes a problem.....???
I know when that happens usually people vomit everything out after.
when something is stuck.
WHEN i got something stuck that piece hurt going down .....
but i was able to dislodge it by vomitting.....
COULD something be stuck?????
I know for me i was told to keep papaya enzyme (supplement at walmart) to use if something i got to stuck that it would help break it down and move....
JUST guessing i think u need a call to the surgeon!

ALSO i wonder if your starting to show signs of a stricture?????

Lisa, I haven't vomitted at all. I have put in an email to my Weight Management Specialist, our Nurse Practioner. It's only been less than an hour and I haven't heard back but I am so uncomfortable. The other night when I spoke with her about it she prescribed Prilosec and I have been taking that for about 2 days but the discomfort is bordering on a small amount of pain and it obviously isn't helping. I have been slowly transitioning to the higher end of 'soft & moist' foods and think I might of ate something that wasn't soft or moist enough. Oh my, this is so uncomfortable. I can even feel it on my sides and in my back.

Since you've been having this feeling for a week, it's possible that you've developed a stricture so it will have to be ruled out. I think it best to call your surgeon and ask for a scope.
(((((((HUGS)))))) I hope you'll get better soon.

ahh didnt relaize ur feeling so for a week.....thought since last nights meal.

NOW i know for me ...im terrible cause when things dont feel right and feels heavy in my pouch i tend to throw up. ITS not the solution. BUT i get taht real tired sensation and when i get this weird ache i toss up, for me i have no problem doing so, some people cant just do that. USUALLY when that has occurred, i realized how poorly i have chewed something.
ITS really not good for u so early out to throw up while ur healing i was very careful early out but as i got much further out i tend to eat fast and not chew and pay for it. IT just sits there and cant seem to move. We lack some breakdown juices to help so when something is to big it will feel uncomfy. (((HUG)))
hopefully they will get back to you soon on this.
FOR me I throw up..and i know thats very bad for me to do, but never did that early out something i tend to do much further out and i hate to admit
probably more then most. PAPAYA enzyme is a food tenderizer so if anything is to big sitting in there it might help but i wouldnt do it unless advised by ur doctor that early out. BUT some swear by that to help.

It really does sound like a stricture. After you see the doctor please let us know how you are doing. My thoughts are with you to feel better.

Well, I finally heard back and had to go in to see someone AND...1) I have a UTI probably from the catheter AND...my Wt Loss Specialist put me back a level to "Full Liquids". She seems to think I am moving too fast on my diet and reaching for things I am not ready for yet. She doesn't believe it is a stricture as I have never vomited. If everything goes ok, I can sgtart back on "Soft & Moist" on MOnday. Serves me right I guess. So crackers, p-nut butter and salsa and chips are out of the question for a long while.
