Question Question for the Veteran WLS'ers

What do you think about using croissants for sandwiches and stuff? Personally, I would think they would be better, just because they are a lot lighter, and have a lot of air bubbles in them, but not sure how they compare to regular bread on the carbs and stuff like that.... any opinions?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I think croissants have a lot of butter and fat in it. Since bread in any form is basically a carb, you may or may not get dumping issues. Anyway, it's a trial and error thing, so what works for you is fine, so long as you keep everything in moderation.

Yes they are loaded with butter and fat, however i do actually eat them every now and then. They are my choice because as you said they are not heavy, they are airy and i tolerate them the best. I however do not add butter to it, i eat it plain if i have it or with an egg on it. If i have a bagel or roll i scoop the inside out before i eat it. But i do have a croissant once in a while and its been ok for me. As said before everything is trial and error. But anything in moderation should be ok.

I tend to lay off breads but use whole wheat and lo carb tortilla wraps.
Unfotunately i have to watch my carbs like a hawk.....
they trigger bad behavior in me ....
