Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

(((HUG))))
I am sorry its going ruff for you a little bit. I can only say every day gets better. I didnt have any stitches to contend with i just had surgical tape on my small incisions. (((HUG)) ...if you need your pain medication you should use it. I know for me useing pillows all around me helped with the sleeping...and every day got better. THE left side for me hurt the most i would say it felt like i was hit by a bus....but each day got better.

EARLY out i used (at dr.'s ok too) chewable gas x for my gas pains.....and i honestly had all liquid diarear early out. I never stressed it and just thought it was normal that if i was only on liquids it was gonna come out liquid. IT was so bad that even if i tooted gas out i had to be in the bathroom as it might have caused an accident,,,,
HANG in there !!! and do the best you can getting in liquids its very important you dont want to dehydrate!!!
feel good its a tough time, i know for me those first days also came with some unexpected emotional moments.....as we greive the loss of food!
Feel free to PM me if you want to gab more!

Hi Franny, I cant help with what you need but I wanted to say hi to you and Im glad to see you chatting a bit now. I would maybe advise you tell your Dr that you felt you were constipated and took the Senacot. I know one thing..what ever you do don't use a straw. For some reason it puts more air in your stomach. I learned that after 2 abdominal surgery's. And it hurts ! Its going to be my turn soon so Im sure I will be turning to you for some advice. Im just sorry I cant help you right now. Friendly is right Im sure.. Take them meds honey and relax. I hope this finds you feeling better. Take care

Franny, first off, ((((((HUGS)))))))
Not to scare you, but since your dr prescribed antibiotics as a precaution, that means your dr is suspecting infection. Let the dr know how your incision is, whether there's any change or not after a day or two on the med. It's best to keep ahead of things in this kind of situation.
As for your diarrhea, since you are still on liquids, don't worry too much about it, but do let your dr know when you call to let her know how your incision is doing with the antibiotic. I gather you took the laxative only once, so the effect should have worn off by now. Also, some antibiotics give some people diarrhea, too, it always happens with my mother, and I've had a few patients come back with the same complaint as well, so the diarrhea might have been a combined effect of the two. Just make sure that you get in your water, and don't get dehydrated.
As Lisa says, if you've been prescribed pain meds, do use them if you are in excessive pain, it's best to be comfortable so you can rest well.
Last, if your pain increases whatever you do, get in touch with your surgeon pronto!!

((((((HUGS)))))) Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Franny. I had the runs too at first early out. It is hard to believe anything can be inside us when we are taking in so little.
I hope that you feel better. I was really sore on my left side too. I can't remember if I had antibiotics before or after the surgery but it an automatic thing from my Dr. Sorry you feel bad and I hope the infection clears up if there is one. Don't push yourself to hard if it hurts. Let your body heal. You will be able to tear around like nobody business soon! lol

Sorry Franny for your woes . Give it some time and things will simmer down some. Listen to your body, if it hurts let your surgeon in on it. Like Friendly, I had tape over my incisions and as far as pain goes I had very little pain. I was perscibed with tylenol w/codine. I used it a few times but that was about it.

We all react to this wls differently but the out come is the same, "WEIGHT LOSS", so hang in there!

Happy Losing,

Debbie
