I remember what it feels like to be this close, so exciting and scary at the same time! You will do great!
I used to tell all the pre-ops in my support group, that I attended meeting with that the first 3 months are the worst. For the following reasons according to me

.
1. You wake up in pain, then you struggle to figure out your new tummy, what you can and cannot eat, getting in all that protein when you really don't want to eat.
2. The one thing that we have always turned to (our friend) food, is not there anymore to comfort us.
3. Is probably the most important reason. Your butt is still fat, if we went into this surgery and woke up a size 6, we would say this is uncomfortable/horrible, but man I look good in my jeans

.
The truth is it takes time for us to start seeing the weight loss, it usually takes about 3 months before we realize that this is really going to work. You will have so many different emotions all at once, it gets better.
OH yeah and if you heard that you lose a pound a day or anything like that (that is what I was told

), for most of us that is just not true. Losing slow is not the end of the world, the most I ever lost in a month was 16 lbs and that was the first month (actually it was the first 2 weeks and then I lost NOTHING for 3 weeks) I had no idea that I could stall so early. I was sure that I would be the one person that had this surgery and it did not work. It took over 2 years, but I lost 210 lbs!
So be excited

, I will be praying for you!
