Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome...I am a little over 3 months post op. I would love to answer any questions or compare experiences. This seems to be a tough time for me . I have been feeling hungry all the time. Not sure if this is the same for you. It seems like some days I could eat more than a 1/4 cup at on sitting, I think I have already done that. I keep thinking I have ruined everything. Did I stretch my pouch? It is a horrible feeling! Any input you have would be wonderful! Again, welcome!

I will be 4 months post op on the 30th. I have had some problems, and I also think I am eating too much, and think maybe I streched my pouch because of my stricture, cause I would hold 2-3 days worth of food in my stomach at a time and then vomit it all up at the same time. I am still losing 2-3 pounds a week, and wish it would come off faster, but I guess I just have to take it one day at a time.
I also have been craving some BAD foods lately, been craving carbs like crazy, but I still can't find much that agrees with me.
Anyway, anytime you want to talk, PM me, I'm usually around at some point in the day.

HI TAMMY and PHYLLIS....
I just want to jump in and respond that im CERTAIN neither
one of you have stretched out your pouch.
THIS is how our pouch is some foods we can eat more
of then others.
USUAL dense protein foods fill us the fastest on the smallest amounts
and we can eat more of the bad foods...crackers, chips and things with more of a mushy texture. WITH the rules you will eat less and loose.

I always eat my protein first few nibbles of a veggie or a side dish...
and usually the protein fills me leaving me no room for the other stuff.
HANG in there your both gonna be GREAT LOOSERS!
hugs

I'm on board with LISA! the one exciting thing in the last couple of months that I discovered with the EGD and the swallow tests, etc..is that my pouch is STILL at 5 years postop it's original 1 oz size. It looks like a thumb LOL...So hey..don't get to thinking that way girls!!!

Hello! I am a little over 3 months post op also. No major complications just dealing with coonstipation issues STILL. Also looking for ideas on eating. All I eat is yogert, protein shakes, salads, shrimp. At times I feel like I eat too much but because most carbs really fill me up so I normally dont overdo it. Feel free to PM anytime I would love to compare notes. With all of you for that matter!!!!!

I am 2 months out and I have serious issues with constipation...it is so frustrating. I don't eat any cheese because I know that binds us up....I don't want to have to use laxatives but geez this is crazy!

Hi Amy, I am about 6 1/2 wks out and I too am having problems going to the bathroom. It seems the only way I can go is to use a suppository, and even with that I never feel relief. Also, for the past two weeks I have been experiencing cramps in the upper part of my stomach. This is happening after taking small sips of water and after small bites of food. I have been eating reg. food ( not much carbs), the doctor said other than that problem I have been doing very good. He is however, having me go next Monday for an upper G.I., just to make sure everything is in order. I'm glad he suggested that . I also seem to throw up after eating sometimes. And it's not like I am eating fast, or too much. It's getting to the point I don't want to eat--but I know I have to ,to be healthy.
I make sure I get my protein drinks in even though they also case cramping. Anybody have any suggestions? DianeB
