((((((((HUGS))))))))) Lisa.
This is so very sad to hear, tragic for the family, and also very sad for the surgery that can save so many lives. It is a major surgery that does have its risks, but in the hands of a capable surgeon, the risk is no higher than for any other major surgery.
I can only say, may his soul rest in peace, and may his family have lots of people and love to support them through this difficult time.
I am also praying for you and your husband, Lisa, that even through your grief, you be able to gather strength to come through, and be a good support to the family, as you are on this board.
(((((((HUGS))))))))

Dear Sweet Lisa.
It is a risk that we all take in having this. It was indeed his time to go and there would have been nothing that could have stopped it. There is a time to live and a time to die.
It is in the Bible the words it is appointed unto men once to die and then the judgement. We are all going to die. I am so sorry that this was the way it happened but may I say this much that it was his choice to make the decisions he did. He felt comfortable with his decision or he would not have made it. ( even the hospital and dr it was his choice)
I have spoken to my hubands and my family already about my decision. I would rather take the risk of this surgery and die than to live like I live now. I am sure that was his decision as well.
Lisa please don't let guilt get to you. You are a wonderful helpful person and you have helped so many people. God bless sweetheart and let God comfort you in this time as he will comfort the family of this one who has passed.

Dear Lisa, I know this is hard on you. Especially being a friend. You give us all a lot of encouragent and you are a testament to how good this surgery can be for so many. You are in no way responsible for someone else's ultimate decision as to where , when, how or what Dr. or hospital to use. That is all of our personal decisions as with any surgery.
I will pray that God will give you the strength to deal with the death of a friend in a positive way, to give you peace in time of torment and to continue being the good person and friend that you are. Mattie

| OH Lis.... I'm sooooo incredibly sorry that this has happened. What a tragedy.... I know you are grieving....this is very difficult when you've had a successful surgery and result - and then your story is inspiring and motivating to your friends and acquaintances. Hang in there....I know everyone is telling you this - BUT, I will echo them by saying... "YOU are in NO WAY responsible for the choice that your friend made...either in having the surgery, doctor, or hospital !" The only thing left I know I can do for you...is pray. Please know you are deeply LOVED here on this board....and God is completely in control of LIFE....the one thing I always hang on to is a promise in the book of Romans in the New Testament...and then another I love from the Old Testament. _________________________________________ "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" ~Romans 8:28~ __________________________________________________ ____________ “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” ~Zephaniah 3:17~ __________________________________________________ ____________ Love and prayers for you, Lisa...your husband & your friends..... |

Wow Lisa I am so sorry. I will talk to you more about this. I just want you to know your in m y thoughts and prayers. We cant make someone take our advice, we can only give it and they do what they want. You tried to advise her and guide her in the same path as you however God has his plan and his path already laid out for us. We have no control over destiny. Hang in there and you know where to find me...
Love ya

Lisa,
As everyone else has already said we are all very much thinking of you right now as you are grieving your friend. Pain is a feeling and emotion that is not easy to control, Im just truly sorry that you have to deal with this right now. I wont say what has been said before about it being his time to go and all because those are things I dont personally believe, but I do believe that there is more in store for us than what we live in this life right now. I really hope that you are able to see past any type of guilt you may be experiencing right now and know as I told you lastnite, you are one of the most caring persons I have met and you are always helping people, remember that when you get down .... there is a whole string of people who can attest to how you have helped them and who want to help you through this should you need and want the help. I havent known you long but I am here for you should you need anything.
.................. kathy
