| And doing well. My surgeon said things went exceptionally well and I am right on schedule with my healing. He took me off all my diabetes meds and wants me to continue montoring to make sure they do not go above 160. If they do he will put me back on one of the meds. He thinks that at my two week check up he will be able to get rid of one if not both of my blood pressure meds. In the hospital I was having some low readings. (well low for me anyway). I'm not having a whole lot of pain, but I am a little sore. Mostly the pain starts after I drink something cold. I need to get the sip, sip, sip down. The pain I am getting is around my bra line on the right side in front, side and back. It is not bad just very uncomfortable. In the hospital I didn't get any protein, but after starting it at home I started having very loose BMs. From what I am reading that is right on schedule too. I do have a ton of black and blue marks from the anti blood clot shots they were giving me. I have a huge one on my upper thigh and I'm not sure if it is from the shot or being strapped down durning surgery. I came out of this one better than the last one, I guess my lungs were in better shape this time. I have a spirometer that they want me to do 10 times an hour, I have to admit I am not getting that much in but I am taking very deep breaths a couple of times an hour. All in all it is going very well but today I think I am dealing with some head hunger. TV sure doesn't help that! And Lisa, don't be hard on yourself, look how many of us you have helped through this surgery! If it wasn't for you and directing me to this board I know I would have had a much harder time of it. As a matter of fact the nurse at my surgery center asked me where I was getting all my info because I was asking her some very informed questions. I told her all about you wonderful people. It really has helped knowing what you guys have gone through and what to expect. And knowing that you will answer any question I have, and I know when you say go see your surgeon I need to do just that. Whew I got a little teary eyed writing that last part, I guess the roller coaster has already started!

| Super Moderator | Congratulations on joining the Loser's Bench, welcome back, and glad to know you are doing well!! Take it easy, though, and rest as much as you can, keep in mind, your pouch will be recouperating for a while. Hope you've been able to get a good night's rest. ((((((HUGS))))) Strapped, hmmm...I was shown a surgery pic the other day, where the surgeon used a table that splits the legs, so the he can stand between the legs, as that gives him the best vision. The head of the bed is raised just a little, so, the legs would have to be strapped down in that position, to keep the patient from slipping. Maybe, that's the position the surgeon took.
