Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Actually, most people regain some--10-15lbs or so--after hitting the lowest point. This level of regain is quite normal, and is the post op weight loss pattern as it should be. This regain seems to come at arouond 3-4 years out from surgery.
If you gain back any more than that, you may be eating badly--your portion is too much, or the choices aren't good, or both. Quite a few people go through this, too, you see lots of people who've been back with this, or joined us with this in Weight Loss Surgery Graduates - Weight Loss Surgery Forums - RenewedReflections .

10-15 pounds, 3 to 4 years doesn't sound so bad...anything more than that starts to sound scary. I hope once I lose, I never gain it back. I guess that's everyone's fear and concern here. Hope you always stay healthy and close to your goal weight.

I agree with you. It is hard once you get a few years out and you really do have to watch it and stick to the rules. Oh i miss that first year. lol

I've gained back about 6 pounds from my lowest and I worry too that I'm going to keep gaining. I think it's normal for us to worry, after all we were obese, not just overweight. I keep weighing myself daily and I pay attention to what I eat - have I let too many carbs or fats back in my diet? And when I eat - am I "grazing"? I'm still doing good with the water rules, but yes, I need to cut back on the carbs and watch out for grazing.

Dixie you are so right, that first year was a piece of cake. This keeping it off is hard. But so worth it! Just yesterday I was playing with my kitten, chasing her around the house while my DH looked at me like I'd lost my mind. What he doesn't understand yet it how good it feels to ba able to run again.

Sucking on SF hard candy has helped me at night. Rootbeer barrels are now my fav. Try nutsonline.com. They will deliver to your door. Good luck!

I have been doing great and maintained at 131 for over a year, then from this Thanksgiving to Christmas I gained 11 pounds! I am determined to get back to the 131.
To motivate myself, I remember the lengths I have gone through to make the surgery happen. It felt like a mountain that I climbed.
Now my life is wonderful, so active, pain free, so healthy. I wear cute clothes and can shop every where!
I journal everything I eat, I am trying to measure all my food.
and I work out every day
I tell myself I have been successful at this in the past. I have the tools. Its important and food will not have power over me!
