| Just over it!  Ok. I'm 5 months into this process, and today- I'm just over it. All I think about it what I'm eating, am I over-doing it, when am I going to excercise, will I lose enough weight, will I gain it back.....and it goes on and on. I journal my food and excercise several times a day, check this board and try to stay on top of my situation. Today, I really don't care about it. I want a normal eating day, I don't want to feel guilty if I don't get a run in or whether the house cleaning I'm doing is enough moving. Blah, I'm just done with it already.

I been there... done that feeling before! But the reailty of this is we cant never have a day like we used to have eating what ever and how ever again or our friend
" DUMPING "will show its ugly head! Try out some of the recipes on here that is close to some of the foods you used to love. ( Then maybe you want feel so deprived) But do take a day off and don't excercise just don't make it a habbit not excercising.
Go shopping, go dancing , do something you "just like to do". ENJOY this new life you have! You have come WAY to far to turn back now!

| You have 18 lbs to lose...so close, so far. I too still focus on the food, and did I get the 64 oz of wat er down? Oh..only 60?? I better go drink some more before I go to bed. (or not.) The whole normal food day...what does that mean to us now? For me, to stay at my current weight.. not even lose the 20 more...a normal food day has to be an WLS food day. At this point I don't think I could eat a normal food day w/o barfing... I look at people eat at the Mall or at restaurants..how did I once eat a whole "loaded" baked potato as a "side?" God only knows.Maybe you just need a few warm days on an island.(Let me know, I will join you in a heart beat.) Hang in there...everytime you look in the mirror love the new you, ok? Remember what you did to get "here" and, just embrace it all. I feel for you- stick with it!!

I completely understand, I have those days too that I just want to forget about counting what I'm eating, making sure I have enough protein in, making sure all my vitamins are taken, getting in the water, the exercise. But that's what I used to do before WLS. So I just do it and 18 months later it's just become normal for me to obsess about what I'm eating and how much exercise I'm getting in.
Take a day off from exercising but don't go crazy with your food, you are doing so well. Hang in there, this too shall pass!

I understand completely. Sometimes we get so mentally tired that we don't want to think anymore and that's when we say we're done. Yes, you definitely need a mental vacation. Just take it one day at a time. Have a day just for you and do something nice just for you. Something that will reflect on your wonderful weight loss. You are very close to your goal, tomorrow will be a new day. Hang in there.
