| 9-month checkup
Good morning everyone!
I had my 9-mo checkup last week and didn't think a follow-up here was exciting enough to share, but I did realize that I never followed-up on my question (a few weeks ago) about leg cramping.
Unfortunately, my surgeon left to open a practice in WVa and took his PA with him, so I met with a new PA. She was very nice, though, and overall my appt. went well. I was down 108 lbs since my surgery date, with my goal of 10 lbs more within sight!
The PA mentioned that my leg cramps could be a sign of Restless Leg Syndrome and to follow-up with my PCP if it continued. She did run a full CBC panel on me to check my vitamin levels and it came back that I am very low in iron. I also did some reading and found that there is a correlation between RLS and low ferrous iron levels. So, I started taking ferrous iron last week and I haven't had any legs issues. Yay!
My year appt. is at thee end of April and I'm really hoping I can meet goal and talk to her about my stomach flab. The husband seems to think it's mostly skin, but it sure feels like it's all fat. I keep losing everywhere but there, it seems!
Thanks for listening and all of your continuous support!

| Wow..such exciting news, huh? Congrats! I, too, have this flab of skin...stomach... I have seen and read about those with horrid "pannis"..they hang so low it creates issues with walking. I guess because we are tall, ours isn't quite that bad, but I sure wouldn't mind saying "good bye" to it. You have done so well. WTG!!

Thank you!! Yeah, the PA asked me if I had any problems with skin rashes and I was almost sad to say "no." I really do think that this is fat flab, though, not skin. *sigh* We'll get there eventually, right?!

Thats a great! I'm so glad to hear you're doing well as well as how much you have lost. I'm also glad to hear your cramps have subsided. Hope they can work with you on the tummy issue. As far as reaching your goal, 10 pounds is nothing, I'm sure you'll reach that and then some. Congratulations once again.

The body overshoots on its way down and then climbs back up to where she wants to be. I bottomed at 159, which was too low for me. My body likes where he is now, and I do too.
Just keep living the rules and it'll all work out the way it should.

What great news. Very interesting about the additional iron for RLS. My DH has that and sometimes it feels like we are having an earthquake at night. I think I'll get him to the doctor to have his levels checked. Thanks and congratulations!
