Default Stall

We've all been through stalls.
I've had several over the last few months. I expected it to happen the further out I got, still frustrating but I knew it was gonna happen.
Anyway, I've gone through another one here recently, I had actually gained a couple of pounds then just couldn't get the scale to move. I talked to my trainer about it and one thing he asked me was about my meals, if I eat pretty much the same thing everyday, which I did, mostly with breakfast...cottage cheese & blueberries for as long as I can remember was my breakfast of choice. So he suggested that I mix it up a bit, change out the fruit, eat something besides cottage cheese, just don't eat the same thing day in and day out. He also suggested I up my calories a little bit, felt that with the work outs that I do I wasn't fueling my body enough.
So two weeks ago I started that and lo and behold the scale moved again, and I lost a little extra along the way.
Just wanted to share that if you are in a stall you might want to look at your daily menu and see if you could switch things up a bit too. Stalls stink but they don't last forever, hang in there if you are dealing with this situation now.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Nell that seems to always be my problem. I still have that diet thinking, to effect the scale eat less. It never seems to stick to me, when folks say you must eat to lose. Perhaps its because I have been dieting for over 35 years. Most of that starvation dieting. The scale has been behaving better for me lately.

Here is what I am doing now. I have incorporated my Weight Watchers point system into my WLS life style. I use WW to make sure I am eating enough. I just stick to the points which are designed to help you lose weight. But I eat protein first, then veggies, then fruit, then carbs in needed. Fruit and veggies are point free in WW now. I track my points (28), my protein (min of 60) and take my vitamins. For my water, I generally drink around 50oz when I exercise, but I don't count that towards my daily 64 needed. Over all I get 114oz a day. I exercise 60 minutes (biggest loser style, letting myself sweat). Then do 90 minutes on the weekends. My body seems to be happier now that I am eating more and the scale has been creeping down ever since I started trying to eat my points.

I don't know how many calories 28 points are though. I figure if I keep to my protein and water requirements for WLS, I will be fine. I am calling this my "formula". I plan to stick to it for a month, let's see what happens. I am such a slow loser for all the exercise and lack of eating I do. Wish me luck. This time I am going to listen to your trainer too. I am going to actually eat so my body can burn calories. Who would have thought that was true. My official WW weight is 209.8...how sweet it is. See you on the losers bench..

Thanks Nell! I eat pretty much them same thing each day! I'm going to try to do something different. I have been "stalled" even though I reached my personal goal, I haven't reached that "ideal chart weight" of 140. I also would like to get a smidge below for the bounce back weight. Again thanks for the ideas and also the inspration to keep working at it!!!

Very good advice that you've proven works Nell!

I've basically have been in starvation mode for the last 3 months because of my problems. Recently being able to actually eat again I finally broke my stall! Now I just need to build my muscles back up and will probably end up gaining!!!

Cara I have thought about doing WW when I get to my goal weight, I know it's a good program and works if you stick with it.
