Default Back from the surgeon's office

Hi I am checking in from my appt. I am scheduled for a small bowel series (some kind of xray and you drink something for it...)
and also a colonoscopy-but I suspected that.
In general, my doctor feels it is adhesion/bowel related. The adhesions cause the bowel to pinch, kink, twist...and episode for PW.
Basically, when I am not having an episode, these tests may not show what is wrong. But they would show film of how my "innards" look on a good day. My surgeon feels I could grow "out" of this.
I hope he is right. My internist feels I should hot foot it to the ER when I have one so an xray can be done at the time of the episode.
I can't imagine the pain I would be to get 1)dressed...2) get into the car 3) do what is needed to take a test. But, I know I may have to do this. He doesn't feel surgery is in my future.
A pill cam isn't in my future though. If there is a twist, kink or whatever, the pill cam will be stuck and then I would have to have it removed.
Thanks for your support and care.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

A kink..ouch, sounds painful. I'm glad to hear surgery most likely won't be needed but I do pray if there is an issue, the doctor will be able to recognize it and take cake of it. I pray all goes well for you.

PW, I hope your x-rays and colonoscopy give your doctor the answers he needs to give you complete, speedy, and permanent relief.

Hope it works it's self out! I know it will hurt and be timely when in pain to head down to the ER. Just get your paper work and everything together before hand so if this is what your going to do you'll be prepared. God Bless!

I'm so sorry that you are going through this pain (when it happens). I can't even imagine. And how frustrating to know that it could just happen anytime and then you should rush to the ER. I really hope the tests they do show something that is a quick and simple fix and you feel great soon!!!

Good luck with you test. I had that done and they let me see my pouch. It was neat. It is just the size it should be and it is draining just fine. I can tell you for sure that liquids drain quickly though the pouch because I watched it. Maybe they can find out what is causing your problems. My problem was in the liver area and it is very hard to get too after R N Y. I never knew that... They also think I could have an ulcer in the remnant stomach. I will be praying for you. Please let us know what you find out.

Hey friend, I'm glad that you went and got this checked out even though you don't have any definite answers yet. I'll be praying you'll soon know the cause of your pain and be able to get it fixed. Hugs
