 |  So discouraged and depressed
I need to cry on someones shoulder and am almost too ashamed to post about it.
I really hate to say this but I feel like I'm back to square one and am scared. The last couple of days I started having difficulty swallowing and constant nausea again. I was doing so well with the exception of hurting after the dog incident and thought I'd finally gotten past this other issue after the removal of the scar tissue.
I'm afraid and embarrassed to call my surgeons office. Prior to my surgery the other option my surgeon gave me was to be sent to another specialist to have a stent put in my pouch to keep it open. I really didn't want that. I think I'm malnourished and am scared of the consequences I could be facing.
I know all of you are probably tired of my moaning and groaning as I'm tired of it myself. I often wonder when I'm going to catch a break.
It was 1 year ago today that I met with my surgeon for my initial consult and I've come so far in so many ways... but on the other hand my spirit is battered yet not quite broken.
I just want to curl up and cry.
To top things off, today is my moms birthday and I'm missing her so much. I don't have her here anymore to go to for comfort and my family is at a loss as to how to help me anymore.
I feel so depressed.

I am so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, again. I thought you had it licked for sure. Isn't there anyone else you can consult with before you get a stent? Sounds yucky. Maybe another surgeon or a gastro guy?

Judy, like the others, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. I wonder too when you'll be given a break- so don't feel bad about that thought. Any one of us would be feeling like that in your situation. I don't really have any words of wisdom for you, I'm hoping that the surgeon had something positive to say. There are lot of folks pulling for you and who will support you through this, however long it takes! Take care

Don't you dare say this vent is not justified!!!!!! I send many prayers of health and healing your way. Please do not be ashamed to call the surgeon. They knew as well when they educated us that not everybody escapes this unscaithed. They should be compassionate about your pain and needs. This is a NEED!!!!! Nothing medical should be ceased until you are able to feel comfortable with your every day life! I send you my best! I'm very sorry about your Mom. Days like these are tough, remember that she's looking down on you, and tomorrow is another day!!!!
