but I feel so bad that I cannot let them walk across me and plop down on me like they're used to... Clyde (cat) is feeling pretty put out about it, Dixie (dog) seems to taking it well - though she still tries.

I am so glad to be home with them and able to give them a good scratch behind their ears and hear Clyde purr. Bonnie (cat) pretty much stays away from me - but that's nothing new

My cat tries to use me as a cat bed in the middle of the night! Ouch!

Clyde likes to pounce from the foot of the bed onto my chest and stomach at night - and this cat gets some serious height!!

they are so precious though!!

with Dixie, she just likes to smother me with kisses at night and be all over me - I don't mind the kisses, but walking across me is NO fun right now.

My little Chihuahua's felt the pain of it but now they are feeling like happy babies because I can now walk around my hilly Colorado neighborhood with no worries. They will soon get over it and can sit and walk around all over you ...and you can walk them all around! Plus, they are your babies...they will understand! They look at you with those big eyes! (my little one will give me the "eye ball" once in a while but soon go back to moon eyes-haha)

The night I came home from surgery, our 20lbs wieny dog tried to jump in the recliner with me. About three days later, I finally had my mother put her in the chair with me and forced her to lay between my legs (versus on my stomach/chest, where she likes to lay).

She usually just lays on the couch most of the day and stares at me LOL.

Awwww, I understand. I have 2 chihuahuas that are glued to my hip. When I go to the bathroom, they sit on the floor and wait. When I got home, I had to crate them for awhile because they kept jumping up and wanting to snuggle. Im happy to say that right this moment they are able to sleep on my lap.
