Smile Wanna see some cherry blossoms?

Hi everyone,
The famous cherry blossoms are in full bloom here, and I thought I'd share.
The pics were taken a few minutes from where I live, along a river--a canal, acutally--that is lined for over half a mile with the cherry blossom trees.
I hope you'll enjoy the veiw!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Oh, they're so beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics with us. I grew up near Washington, DC and some of my fondest memories are of my family going down to the Potomac River and walking along the sidewalks when the cherry blossoms were in bloom. These pictures remind me of those days. Sigh ... thanks for a little trip down Memory Lane!

Beautiful Doc! Thanks for sharing. I lived in DC for a few years and my favorite time of year was Cherry Blossom time. It was such a beautiful time to stroll the Potomac.

Hey, two DC --or nearby-- residents!
I'm the third one. Whereabouts were you? We lived just north of DC in Montgomery Co. MD.
Since my father was with the Japanese Embassy, every year, we took part in the opening ceremony of the Cherry Blossom Festival there.
Yes, I remember the cherry blossoms along the Potomac, too.
Wonderful memories.

Hey Doc,
We lived in Annandale for a couple of years and then moved to Fairfax. We lived there from 1957 - 1969 when my dad worked for the U.S. Customs Dept. Every school field trip when I was in grade school was to go to DC and go through all the monuments & Smithsonian and then picnic lunch at Haynes Point on the Potomac. That was a REALLY long time ago!

Beautiful Doc.
Maybe it's just me or maybe i have to look at those pics closer but if there was swnow on the ground i would have guessed those to be canadian winter pics you know when snow and ice get on the branches and they sparkel in the daytime sunlight.

Mouse, is that you with your DH? You're so cute!!

freebird, snow flowers, huh Yeah, I know what you mean...only ours are in beautiful pink!

LisaMarie, glad to hear they made you smile when you were doing badly.
I hope you're fine now, and very active now that spring is finally here!

Treasured, our timeline overlaps in the DC area...I was around when Dulles International opened...

Thank you everyone, for letting me know you enjoyed the cherry blossoms. I sure hope you'll be enjoy them in reality, whether you come to Japan at the time of the blossoms, or you take a stroll along the Potomac...where the trees were a friendship gift from the city of Tokyo to Washington DC so many, many years ago.

And this evening, I'm off to a cherry blossom picnic party...gonna visit a friend who has a lovely cherry blossom tree in her yard, and and enjoy the view while having a couple...maybe more ...drinks under the tree with good friends from high school.
