Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | sorry i have not been on much lately but i was on bed rest now just trying to slowly get back to where i was. i bent over last Thursday's to get my shoes and tie them. well somehow i pulled an abdominal muscle in my stomach i couldn't set up for 4 days with out leaning to my right. the whole left side just ached so bad. i go on thursday for my six week check up can't believe it that long already. all my friends are just amazed how am doing. every one ask me how much i lost but i don't weight my self at home. i go to a support group called how obesity can lead to chronic illness. it for 6 weeks plus i got to another group once a month at hospital it with all the people here in Marquette Michigan that had surgery with the same doctor then after that we have one with every one who had the surgery even one that had before this doctor came here. next month were having a guest speaker to talk on reconstructive surgery after weight loss. i like the groups the help me when i have question. i love this sight cause every one here give such positive info. this week after my doctor appointment i should be able to go to regular food that going to be different. i went to a barbecue at my friends ever one there said i looked and didn't know how i could do knowing all that food was there and just eat what i packed. i know it tough but i can do it. |

| Super Moderator | Hey franny, great to see you around. If your pain persists, be sure to tell your surgeon about it. Your abdominal muscles are still weak from your surgery, so, some unlikely movements may hurt you. (((((((HUGS))))))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Welcome back hon! {{hugs}} Group food things are always tough. I know I avoided or tried to, even going out as a family to eat out was so tough. But you learn to just eat slow and not worry about everyone watching you. It finally becomes about the 'being together' with other people which is what it should be about. The enjoyment of company and not all about the food & eating..it's really a wonderful thing. :-) -bree
