I did a lot of protein shakes, pudding, yogurt. Chili is great with lots of protein. I tried string cheese but it was not enjoyable, but good protein. I even ate the filling (meat and cheese) from tacos.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi All,
Just writing this, I just feel miserable. Yesterday, I was nauseated and vomitted all day( with just water) My intake is horrible and I don't know what to do.....Has anyone else had problems tolerating food?? I am going to my six weeks now......Help me!!! I feel so listless and without energy. Even the vitamins make me want to gag.

Hi. I havent really gotten sick like that so I am sorry I dont have much to offer. Can you tell us what you eat when you feel nauseous? Maybe in the meantime since you cant keep anything down you should return to liquids and make sure you are getting at least your protein??

I am also six weeks post op and I literally feel sick about one half the time. And the hunger (which I am not supposed to feel) is sometimes so intense that I double over. I can tolerate some things -- 1/4 whole wheat english muffin with Peanut butter, small, moist shrimps, crackerbarrel cheese and most soups. If you can only tolerate water at this point, I think you should see your doctor -- there may be scar tissue inside the stoma or a blockage. Let me know how you do. Lorraine

NORA if your throwing up that much you need to let your doctor
be aware of this...maybe he will do a scope and be certain you have no
stricture!
SOUNDS like u might and im concerned if your feeling listless
please call him right away!
the vomitting might be causeing u to dehydrate now!

Okay, hearing what you have to say, you definately must let your surgeon know, as everyone else is saying. Better to be safe than sorry later.
(((((HUGS)))))) Hang in there, hope you'll be feeling better soon.
