Okay, so everybody asks me what am I doing in chat, so late into the night (here) and shouldn't I be in bed.
BUT, I've noticed a lot of you out there complain of not being able to sleep.
So, how many have trouble sleeping, and does it bother you or not?
And what do you do, do you try to catch up, or let it go and just crash and burn when you can't take it no more?
Actually, though I am known to keep un-Godly hours, I keep track of how many hours I have slept, and try to do the catch up game over weekends...not always successfully.
The most blissful time that I find myself falling asleep is in the hair salon's chair--while having my hair shampooed.

What complaints/solutions do you have for your sleep problems?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i've been dealing with sleep issues because of my narcolepsy since i was 12 and here's some of the things i do that help me be more restful at night.
warm milk
hot cocoa (i don't know if this comes sugar free or not)
a hot bath before bed with gentle lighting or candles and relaxation music
soft relaxation music or music without words as i try to sleep
My sleep problems are more with staying asleep than falling asleep, although i do find sometimes i can't get to sleep because my brain won't shut off so i will write what my brain is going over or obsessing about just to get it out that helps sometimes
i would be careful about over the counter sleeping pills, they do work for most people but can be very addicting and sometimes build up to the point where you have to take more and more and that's never good
mouse , you say no music at bedtime but it actually helps me so i guess it's different for everybody

Well pre op i was always tired, and always falling asleep!
WIPED out from i guess carrying the extra weight around.
I would wake up tired and unrested...proly sleep apnea.
I would wake up hourly to pee too which stinks.

HOWEVER, post op....i seem to require 7 hours sleep
and dont wake up hourly for potty trips. I need to
learn to stay up later so that i dont wake up at 3:30
or 4:00 in the morning. I am usually exhausted at night
and fall to sleep right after the kids.

Hmmmmm
just shareing my sleep pattern

I have sleep related issues due to my husband's schedule. He works grave shift so I have a hard time just going to bed at a good time and sleeping. I usually wait until I am so sleepy watching tv or posting on the message boards here then go to bed. Now that he is home helping me during recovery, I don't have as much time to catch up online, but being able to sleep with him was awesome last night, even if I was extremely propped up. That reminds me of a thread I want to start...hmmmm
