I was shocked to see the initial post. I had no idea about the aleve or the midol. These 2 types of pills I have taken since my surgery. The Aleve more then the Midol. What is the damage that may happen? I hope I have not screwed with my pouch at all !

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

A lot of the pain medications can cause ulcers.
That's the biggest reason.
You don't want ulcers in your very small pouch.

I am looking into getting a RNY. I currently take an aspirin once a day to avoid blood clots in the heart (I am treated for Atrial Fibrillation) Anyone else here have this problem? What do you take as a blood thinner....? Is this a reason to NOT get weight loss surgery?

There are other blood thinners. You can change to them post op. This shouldn't hinder you from having surgery if you need to lose a lot of weight, as the excess weight in itself is stressful to your heart. Talk with your cardiologist about everything that concerns you.

Does anyone know about the safety of Antibiotics? I often have to take a week course of antibiotics for skin infections and/or routinely have to take amoxicillin before going to the dentist (usually a large bolus/dose) because I have an autoimmune disease.
Warmly,
Jackie

Some antibiotics can irritate your pouch. Others that are time release types also aren't good for pouchies, as they won't dissolve enough to be absorbed from the shortened route, so the blood level may not go up high enough to be effective. Ask your surgeon which antibiotics he recommends, and discuss it with your other drs.
