Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have a few issues and am getting a little frustrated. Now, I usually try to stay upbeat and keep upbeat but I realy think I am losing my mind with this lol! ok... I cannot consume 64 ozs of liquids AND eat 3 meals a day. I just cant do it. I have tried a few different combinations: 2 scoops of protein supp which is 50g protein to start my day. I do this to get a head start because I KNOW i cant eat all 60g. then sip all day and then eat, then sip some more, then eat some more, sipp sip sipppppp then eat some more...i mean by about 2 pm i am ready to give up. bloated and full to maximum capacity lol! today i admit i only drank about 20 ozs, didnt have a shake, and only ate one meal. i feel like i am going in reverse; as if my pouch is getting smaller. um....has this happend to anyone lol?? i feel guilty complaining about this while other people are having real troubles with their insurance and being sick all the etc. but part of me would like to sream about this. on top of that I KNOW the scale will not move this week because i am not getting in all that i am supposed to. one disappointment after another. dare i ask what to do?????? ![]() I REALLY dont want to fail at this. I NEVER thought in a million years the difficulty i would have would be getting all of the food and liquids in as opposed to just making the correct choices and portion sizes. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHH! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | From what Ive been reading from peoples posts......Like Lisa says, this is a journey and there are alot of emotional issues and thigns to get thru. I feel like when your new at this your on a rollercoaster. I too seem to have good days or many days in a row then I seem to hit a snag. I too dont think I always get in all my stuff. Its very hard some days. And like you said, here we were before eating and eating and how did we ever think that we would feel or want to eat or drink and that we would be full. It kinda messes with your head I feel. All part of getting thru this I think is taking the time to think how much better off we are and how much healthier we are. And dont feel bad about venting. Thats what we are all here for. To listen and help each other out. I feel that so many people on here are like a family. They are so helpful and there for you with support and etc...... Like I told you before, tomorrow is another day. Set small goals for yourself and add a bit of water each day. Little baby steps. Ok Ive written likea journal now. Im gonna stop. Sorry......... |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | (((HUG))) your still early out so somedays getting it all in just dont happen. NOW ofr me when i drank a protein shake that liquid was countable towards my 64 ounces so in a day at times that was 16 ounces. I know for me everything that went in was PROTEIN and thats how i did it usually with two protein shakes and 1 protein pudding in a day. JUST relax all will be fine...THE blues actually started for me at the same time i went into that hair thinning phase.... THERE are days early out the surgery gets over whelming.....but do the best you can and all will be fine. YOU are going to be a HUGE looser!!!! THE best fix for me when in a mood funk when i was on the journey was go and try on new clothes. EVEN if i had no money to buy any...trying on those new sizes WOWED me and brouht my moods back up! MAYBE go out and treat yourself to a little trying on session at a local store...it might just wow you back on the POSITIVE!!! always worked for me accept when ever i did that i was so amazed at the size i usually had to just buy the item...bad me. HANG in there and keep venting!!!! BEST to talk about how your feeling then keeping it all inside. THIS journey is not the easy way out by no means!!!!!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | No TOM lol! I just find it funny how a week ago I felt like my stomach was a bottomless pit and I ate and ate and ate.....and now this week I can barely get down a bite (literally) of eggs on the morning. I dont get it. Thanks for all the well wishes. Iam sure THIS TOO SHALL PASS! It always does. I am going to look back at these posts next year (if they archive for that long) and laugh my butt off I'm sure. ![]() Thanks guys *Doc, or anyone else with insight: once you start back with food, is it "ok" to return to just liquids for a while? I mean will that "shrink" my pouchy?? Or is that ok? I'm just thinking i need a break. Eating is hard work LOL! and just to make sure i at least get in the protein and some fluids i want to do shakes again, even if its just for a week or so.....any thoughts? ( i know i know. i'm gonna call my surgeon's office....) |

Weight Loss Method Aitkens | Hang in there Kenyar things WILL get better. And don't feel guilty about venting, everyone here wants to hear the good and bad that's what their here for. Maybe treat yourself to something special... maybe something as simple as taking your kids on a picnic or to the local park will cheer you up.

| Super Moderator | No, your pouch won't literally change size. If you feel eating is too much, you can go back to a couple of days of liquids, but be sure that you get your protein, vitamins and minerals and stuff in. (((((((HUGS))))))))
