Yesterday morning at line up we had the very unexpected news that one of our eldest officers (civilian employee) had passed away..it has been such a shock. Our new Lt had been wonderful in dealing with this and the support for our department has been astounding....They are planning on a huge funeral with the color guard and everything.. He was very well liked and will be sorely missed.He was a character who you could never forget once you met him and had a hilarious sense of humor that could make you cry he was so funny. Thank you for letting me share..it's just such a shock still and hasn't sunk in really..It's that reminder again for me to live each day and love fully all those I care about and quit hiding myself away from people who care about me. ---bree
