Im Trying To Figure Out What Would Be A Good Goal Weight For Myself. I PUT DOWN 110LBS BUT I THINK SOMEONE MY HEIGHT SHOULD BE BETWEEN 100-110. I Look At The Charts And Some Of Them Go By The Frame Of Your Body But To Be Honest I Dont Know What Mine Is. I Know I Know Ask My Doc. I Will When I See Him To Get My Surgery Date This Tues 6/19. Also I Have Plantar Fasciitis In My Right Foot PRETTY BAD And Now Getting Symptoms In My Left Foot. Of Course This Was Brought On By Being Heavy. Has Anyone Else Had This And Will It Go Away After I Loose The Weight. |

SOrry I have NO CLUE about the foot thing. As far as the goal weight, there are lots of charts online i believe. My surgeon set mine for me though. To be honest, I think they set mine high but I guess we'll see when i get there! Good luck with your appointment on tuesday!

Hey Kenyar I See Your From New Rochelle. What A Small World I Lived In Mamaroneck Most Of My Life And Also At One Time Had An Apt In New Rochelle Before I Got Married And Moved To Li. BY THE WAY THE EASIEST WAY TO SAY ABOUT Plantar Fasciitis IS THE WORST PAIN YOU CAN IMAGINE IN THE HEELS OF YOUR FEET. LIKE WALKING ON ROCKS. LOL |

OH WOW!!! Very small world. Hmmm. I never had that plantar thing but i did have something similar to spurs (pain on the back of the heels) it was THE WORST. I havent had the pain from my heels at all lately, I assume because of my weight loss. Maybe losing will do that same for you too? |

Ouch, ((((((HUGS)))) As weight does aggravate the symptoms, just losing some of that weight should improve your symptoms. As for your goal weight, it's probably set it at the high end of normal, or the low end of overweight. FYI, LittleLisaMarie, who is 4'11", has her goal set at 130, and is acutally a few lbs below that. If you are as petite as she is, then I'd say, 130 is a very realistic number. Setting the number too low, and your expectancy high, could play games with your brain in trying to get there, so, if you are going to set goals by yourself, I think it will be easier on you to set it step by step--first get out of the obese range, then get into the lower overweight range, etc. Think of gettin into the normal range as a bonus. That way, you'll be able to feel pretty good about yourself, compared to when you set your goal in that range from the beginning, and your body decides to settle higher than that, you're likely to feel bummed. ((((((HUGS)))))
