| Administrator | Christy, I am soo glad that you see it for what it is. Now I don't always throw the label of "attack" around any and all uncomfortable things that happen. Sometimes it is just life happening. However, you ability to see just how small it is in comparison to all of the goodness going on is wonderful. This is nothing less than doing a quick inventory of you situation. I find that EVERY single time I take a honest quick inventory of my life situation of this VERY minute. I have found that although I may have some real painful things going on, my overall cup overfloweth. With this recognition I continually land in a state of gratitude. And life is soooo much easier when I am operating from a place of gratitude. Craig

| Super Moderator | Yeeow, it ain't that cold here, but yeah, it's freezin' cold nevertheless. The whole of Japan is hip deep in snow right now...with the exception of Tokyo, where I live. (Somehow, this city always gets passed over when it comes to snow storms I was watching the news reporting cars stuck in the highways for over 18 hours while warming up on the bike at the gym tonight, thinking I sure don't want to be stuck there:P

| Big Loser | Well, if you want to make lemonade out of lemons, I NEVER got this cold when I was fat and wearing my natural coat! It's kind of like new shoes are great because they feel so good when you take them off, and this hunger pain is a good thing because it must mean I'm dropping weight! Besides, as we get smaller, we can actually find clothes that fit, and layer them on w/o looking like the Michelin tire man (or Santa Claus). Vicki |

| Big Loser | I lived in Kyoto for 3 years. First year it was numbing cold, even at over 300 lbs., and the heater instructions were all in Japanese and I couldn't figure out how to turn it on! You know how the Japanese like their complicated gadgets...no simple on /off switch there. Even the tolilet talked. Lucky I didn't know what it was saying as it stared up my bum!!! Vicki |

Just ask Craig, he and Leslie were here in Nov, and they stayed at a fully furnished apt on their own. The first night, I showed them the ropes, and never did I get an SOS Kyoto gets colder/hotter 'n Tokyo because it's at the bottom of a valley. Probably buried knee deep in snow in parts right now. I'd better check with a friend who lives there. The location of ancient cities were chosen according to feng shui (Chinese fortune telling for good/bad locations) so, many are surrounded by mountains, or at least have mountains to their backs. BTW, I have friends in Austin, a couple who both were classmates in med school. Every time I go visiting in Texas, I try to find the time to visit them, but have been unsucessful so far, and end up getting big beefs from them.:P Gotta make it there some day!
