It's funny to think that once we start losing our hair - we are in a panick to figure out what it was....or is that is causing us to lose our hair! I was EXACTLY the same way.... I was frantically trying to figure out why I was having a ton of hair loss. So it would stop....and a way to have new grow back... At them time "DocSanae" told me the same she said above..... but I still was looking...(sorry doc   , it's seems strange that no one could tell me the 'exact cause'....my surgeon also couldn't pinpoint the cause!)My favorite reason was lack of vitamins (b/c I knew I wasn't good and taking my regularly)....and rapid weight loss....someone on here even said what you did 3mos. ago is effecting you now.... (I totally bought that - although, I don't have a clue if there is proof of that ! LOL) What I do know....is I took Biotin...(some off and on)...and began taking my vitamins 'religiously!' And in about January (9mos post op) - my hair stopped falling out soooo drastically. Now, I have clumps of short baby hairs all over my head....hilarious! Try not to worry....it'll all work out!

I will add those that loose the hiar immediately after surgery are reacting to anesthia...and i have heard many experience that. THOSE that start 3 to 4 months out are looseing it from the rapid weight loss. MY hair thinned when i lost rapidly on atkins.... so there are many different reasons and we are all different. JUST another thing we deal with as post ops! FOR me when the weight came off at a normal montly rate my hair stopped comeing out......... and i had plenty of peach fuzzies sprout... year later my hair has come a long way. I do have more layers now then ever but im working those out!

Lisa, now that you mention it - it was at the same time that my weight loss was slowing that my hair stopped falling out....and slowly has started back. While in Dallas, I went to my old hairdresser for a cut! She told me to STOP cutting layers...that it only made my hair look more stringy...and thinner. So....I got a very short bob all one length!! It's short - but I actually LOVE it!! Here is a picture of my two sweet friends that kidnapped me...and pampered me for a day...they took me for Morning High Tea...and then to lunch....and hours and hours of talking!!!  So, what do you think of my hair?? They went NUTS over me when they saw me....we hadn't seen each other since our last lunch before I left Dallas! I'm gonna look for the old photo there so ya'll can see our before! (Sooo fun!! It was July - I think I'd lost about 65#'s below...)  MICHELE!!! Isn't it funny to have all those baby-fuzzies??? I particularly have them in my temple area. Kinda where guys loose their hair when they are older!!! I miss talking to you girl!! By the way...I'm on a new bar of soap that is LUSH!! I think about you everytime I use it!! Love ya Michele!
