Diane honey...... I have come to the conclusion that people just get right down jealous. Your not gonna be the fat one no more. I mean i didnt wanna put that up in someones face but its true. No body likes to be the overwieght one of the bunch , I have been my whole life. Ignore it. Its hard but smile knowing your about to move over to the other side. The girls I work with are the worlds worse about this.

Been there done that. I didnt tell many people before hand either. But after I came back to work there are alot of people where I work so they all kept asking and I told some of them. But yes I got the same response. Oh why are you doing that your not that big. Well like you said, the surgeon thought I was a canadate and so did my insurance company since they covered it. But like the others said, you just do what you think is best and tell who you want and dont want.

My monster(mother)-in-law is totally jealous that i'm having this surgery. I will be skinnier than she is. So she brings up the excess baggy skin that I will have afterwards, like Im having this surgery so I can wear a speedo to the beach. Its for our health, that is why we all have had or are going to have this surgery!! Tell those people who have nothing good to say to kiss your ASS!!!!

I hear the same thing too. I get sick of it!!! Evidently the insurance company thought I was big enough. My whole adult life people have used me as the measurement system for how big someone is. My EX-stepmother-in-law use to describe how BIG someone was by comparing them to ME. She would say, ..."oh, ____ is bigger than Niki", or......." they are not as big as Niki is......." . Just remember, opinions are like a__holes, everybody has one!!
