Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  Well since I shared my lift off excitement I couldnt leave you out of this one Ok when I checked out of the hospital the nurse from my clinic who came in and talked to me told me to go home and immediately start taking Colace because if I hadnt had a BM for three days she and the surgeon wanted to see me back because it could be a problem, she said if the colace didnt work on day 2 home take synakot with colace and if on day 3 still no BM do a dulcolax suppository. Well I did it all except the suppository with no BM, so needless to say I was in a panic here it is 5 days since surgery and no BM....so was on the verge of calling her like she said for fear I might have an obstruction in my bowel area or something. Well I am please to report I have finally had a BM and feel so much better. Man this is like being a 1st time parent we worry about everything dont we? |

| I haven't even had my surgery yet and in an effort to get the vitamins started, I never thought about the constipating effects of taking a lot of iron. Needless to say, I am taking Colace like crazy trying to clear myself out before Tuesday. I sure hope it works or I am in for trouble after surgrey! Glad you finally got cleaned out. You should settle down now. |
