Default Hair Loss

I just came across some interesting info while doing my daily research...
"There's a special reason for getting your magnesium. If you do, you are much less likely to experience telogen effluvium, the temporary loss of hair that often occurs about six months after surgery." This is the first time I have come across anything regarding the hair loss. Worth a try for me, as I am so vain when it comes to my hair. Horrible I know, but it is so true!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I don't think it's vain or horrible to really value your hair. I think that as human nature would have it we all value our best feature but just wait till you start to loose more weight you just might be surprised! But as most women would find it hair loose can be very devistating. I had heard that if you were going to loose it would happen by the third month. Now that I am in my 4th month I was just beginning to relax about it so I hope that what you say about it happening around the 6th month is not correct. At any rate I will definately be sure that I am getting enough magnesium - don't want to take any chances. Happy loosing - Jan

Well, in looking at the multivitamins, there is Magnesium in them. Plus I take 5000mcg of Biotin.

biotin will help with regrowth but wont stop the loss. its going to happen regardless. has to do with rapid weight loss in general. even pre-op in atkins i lost hair. so i think its just related to losing weight fast, not necessarily the surgery itself...it would be interesting to see what they come up with in another ten years to combat this...it stops though. not to worry. you wont go bald

I hate to say it but it but its true I think we are gonna loose it no matter what. Im there now. Was coming a bit here and there before but now its alot!! Im just at about 4 months and its dropping like flies. But hey what am i gonna do. Im happy with my weight loss and I feel good. So Im just crossing my fingers and toes, that I dont go bald. I am taking the Biotin and I can see little re-growth spikey things. I started taking biotin from like week 3 or something like that. And yes my vitamins have the magnessium in it too.
