Hello! I thought this morning I would get my tush up for a bike ride. I put on my bike pants, got my H20 ready and off I went..... it doesn't feel right.
I stopped and looked at my bike, it looks like the brake pad is rubbing up against the inside of the rim of the wheel. I proudly unhooked the cable, blew off the dust and reconnected the cable. Meanwhile I'm strutting my feathers proud as a peacock that I could remember how to do this.
I get back on my bike and it still doesn't feel right, way too much tension here on this flat road. Now I say to myself, screw it. I'm out here and I'm gonna ride. So for 25 minutes I sweat and struggle on a blessed flat. I just rode a few days back and it wasn't this hard.
I decide there must be something wrong with my bike and drive it in my van to the local bike shop......CLOSED! What the.... how can a bike shop be closed on a Saturday morning? What are they biking or something?
I smartened up and called the next bike shop 2 towns away, yes they're open bring it right in. When I arrived the guy looks at my bike and turns the handle bars 360 degrees "all set" he says. I said "you're kidding me that's it?" Yes he says we have about one of these a week.
I asked him if there was a camera to take pictures for their staff break room of "you wouldn't believe this moments". Nope he says. You been riding your bike like this he asks, yes just this morning I respond. Must have been a heck of a work out riding like that he says.
I knew it was too hard riding this morning on a flat in that gear!

Oiy vey!
