Ok folks! Another episode is on.
Let's meet up afterwards and talk.
This week's recap:
Tiffany: 600+ lbs. we were follwoing her story last week. The drs are requiring her to lose weight and become more educated. She and her cousin anthony ( caregiver) had a falling out over him leaving her alone in the apartment. does she have a right to depend so heavily on him? Are her expectations for 24 hour a day care reasonable? there was an issue the possible inability to maintain herself post op (re: inability to afford supplements, lack of support, inability to get out of the house for support etc) does anyone else feel like they are looking for reasons to NOT give her this surgery?? Gosh I feel for her I really do. I want to just give her a hug and tell her it will work out. I cant do anything but tear up when I think about her situation
Lynne: Bypass patient with excess skin. they had to plan her plastic surgery in two shifts. 1st surgery hernia repair and tummy work (13 lbs of excess skin!!!!), 2nd surgery the backside

(next week)
Wanda: Lap band patient. Former drama teacher. Breast cancer survivor. They chose the band due to her medical history in the event that she got sick again, this would be easier to manage. start weight 277 lbs. down 22 lbs 30 days post op.
Chime in at any time.
