Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Well folks, today was one of those days i just kind of floated thru without much thought. I call this a "DUH Day" On the way to work i usualy stop and get a small coffee and something for my daughter to munch on on the way to daycare. Of course this is where it begins... I ask the attendant for two packs of newport lights, prepare my coffee, grab Kayla and pay....then i realize I DONT SMOKE ANYMORE DUH!!! so i get a refund on the cigarettes 11.00 back in my pocket LOL! I have not even seen a pack of cigarettes since 4/18/07. why i would purchase TWO is beyond me... I then get to work, i go all day, roughly til 2-ish without eating or drinking a thing. I KNOW DONT YELL AT ME!!!!! SO i run down to the cafeteria and order (get this) a cheese burger deluxe with all the fixings (including fries) ok DUH number 2. I CANT EAT FRIED FOODS ANYMORE or bread (the bun what HUGE) so i get upstairs and trade with friends. i end up with a yogurt, some kind of fruit cup thingy, and a polly-o string cheese. i eat. the rest of the day flies by and suddenly its time to go. so we're driving home and sitting in traffic, and the bright idea comes for me to pick up dinner on the way home because is my flustered frenzy this morning, i forgot to take a meat out of the freezer *sigh* we stop at boston market. I get the serves 3 chicken meal. this is what i used to get pre-op and just GORGE myself. anyhow, we get home and i fix kayla a plate and she starts eating and then i fix my plate THE SAME WAY I WOULD HAVE HAD I NOT HAD SURGERY. now, you know how this ended? I still have a full plate of food sitting in front of me from an hour ago... OK at what point am i going to "get" that things have changed?? I mean, is all of this to say that after everything i have been thru and all of the hard work re-programming myself, that all it takes is a moment of lack of thought to ruin it all?? I'm just curious what everyone else thinks. i mean, i wasnt thinking AT ALL today and i clearly could have returned to my old lifestyle in one swoop, or ended up eating more than i could have managed and puked my brains out....right? DAMN... |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I would say that sometimes we all run on autopilot. It sounds almost like your new computer program got corrupted and was over written by your main operating system -- only problem was it was the old one! But like you said to me -- good that you saw everything you did and realized it right away -- just bad that you ended up spending money you didn't need to. We ALL have days like that when we just do things and then wonder what in the heck was I thinking! ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I'm sure it has alot to do with your lack of sleep. I know when I'm tired I do alot of "auto pilot" things. But the main thing is that you stopped, realized the situation, and corrected it. Kenya, I believe, no matter HOW hard we try, we WILL cheat at some point. But the IMPORTANT thing for us to do is identify the problem and move forward. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you....NOW GET TO SLEEP GIRL!!!!!!! lol |

| Super Moderator | Kenya, you caught yourself in time, and that's good, how it's meant to be. Besides, you know there's not way you'd have been able to eat all that even if you tried to. Sorry for the money you spent that you can't get a refund on, but you know, the fact that you think of it as a instead of resenting not being able to eat, is proof that your brain's new route is working well.(((((HUGS)))))
