Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | THis protein thing is getting worse everyday now. All of the stuff that I liked pre-op and I can longer tolerate the taste or even the small. I just mixed the Wild Cherry Prostat 64 in some CherryLimeade water and just smelling it starting making me gag. I really don't know what to do at this point as I am still full liquid for the next 2 more weeks. I am gaggy just typing about the protein. Pre-op, I thought how can your tastes change that much, and now I see that it is true. I don't like any of the stuff I liked beforehand. I have yet to try the SF Carnation Instant Breakfast...I hope that I will be able to tolerate that lil more. ARGHHHH. How did I fly through Hell Week with no problems and now they are everywhere?? LOL. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | now now kim, chin up. you have to find SOMETHING. CIB doesnt have much protein though. maybe isopure or unjury? you'll need WAY MORE than the 15g perserving that CIB has. and just so you know, i am almost 4 months out and STILL things that sat well last week dont this week, is ever changing trial and error. you'll get the hang of it |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hang in there Kim. I've noticed that my taste buds are different post surgery as well. Have you tried any of the natural/neutral flavorless protein powders? I purchased a brand from GNC that you mix with foods/drinks that you really don't detect in foods.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was whining to my husband this morning when he came in and I think that we are going to check out Vitamin World this week. I think for now I am going to start using my G Tube again just for protein, until I find something that I may like. My husband ordered me some Prostat-64 in the Butter Pecan which should be here in the next day or so. And I still haven't gotten a call back from the surgeon's office about my incision that is opening up and starting to bleed. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I haven't tried any of the unflavored ones yet. I guess that is my next step. The smell of the protein powder/liquid seem to be making my nauseas. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | HAHA Boots, My surgeon requires that we have a G Tube in our old stomach for 6 weeks...in case of any complications. WE can also use it for meds and Boost if needed, but they want you to ween yourself off before the 6 weeks. It is a huge pain in the rear as it is this rubber thing sticking out of the left side of your belly that you have to keep taped down at all times. |
