Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

lets start at the beginning and maybe we can get to the bottom of it.

when you say you cant get anything down, what do you mean? are you throwing up? or having trouble swallowing?? how much are you trying to drink at once? a good way to start out is with a medicine cup or a shot glass. you can make 5 (yes five) sips out of that little one once cup. thats should be the size of your sips this early. also if you are having trouble with that shot for a popsicle every hour. you have to work up to or work on getting the fluids in before anything else.

as for the jello its normal to only be able to eat 1/2 the cup this far out.

with not drinking enough you will feel weak. that is normal as well. the headache might be beginning signs of dehydration or something else. its hard to tell. i would call the dr's office and insist on being seen if it is something you are very uncomfortable with.

i hope you feel a little better today.

Have you tried drinking room temperature or luke warm drinks instead of hot or cold? I found this was the only way I could keep any fluids down when I had my surgery. Hope you feel better real soon (((hugs)))

Hey Kenya, No I'm not having trouble swallowing or spitting up its like when i take in liquid my stomach goes CRAZY!!I have had some unearthly noises coming out of there I cant even describe...lol..I can take in about almost a 1/2 a popsickle every 4-5 hours and the jello just maybe a little less than a tablespoon.Maybe i just have to get used to this, i dunno, I spoke to the dr yesturday and he isnt fearful yet theat i'm getting dehdryd. I keep swaeting like crazy too, no fever though, i was able to get in about 1 once of diluted gatorade in this morning, which I am incredible grateful for.I cant wrap my mind around the fact that i can survive on about 2 popsickles a day and nothing else, i feel like i'mwasting away...

Well I Wouldnt Go To Long Like That. Take It From Me I Was Very Ill For A While And It Got To The Point Where I Couldnt Drink Or Eat For Days. Im Still Trying To Catch Up On My Liquids Now That I Feel Better But I Have Noticed Im Just Not Drinking Enough To Catch Up Because Im Still Showing The Signs Of Dehydration And If Dont Let Up I Will Have To Ask My Doc What I Should Do. So Please Be Careful With The Liquids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noises are VERY normal lol! it talks. and its mad because you cut it in less than half lol! dont drink gatorade. I mean if your dr told you it was ok ok then but it has carbs and those dont sit so well this early out. it might also be casuing you to dump which would explain the sweating...try plain water, broths, crystal light, diet snapple etc. low or no carb is best at this point. try to up your popsicle intake or try ice chips. sucking on those will get fluids in. you have to get more in in order to feel better.

Yep noises are normal, my nurse came in on day 2 of surgery and asked if I had noises coming from my tummy yet...lol. As far as drinking try getting a sippy cup and drinking from that, it helps in the beginning, I even took mine to the school to register my kids so I didnt get dehydrated. Now I drink out of normal glasses or a bottle but in the beginning it helped.

You whine all you want sweetie, its perfectly okay. We are all here for you. I think the suggestion of ice chips is a great one, if you could even do one at a time that might help. And the suggestion for trying luke warm or room temp liquids. Don't worry about those noises -- that's just you're new pouch getting used to its job! And yes, by all means, work at getting more fluids in of just about any easy kind. Wish we could help even more. Hang in there!
