| Big Loser | Linda, You're on the OH board, so you probably know this. I am getting deep fried, don't skimp on the oil!!! There was a woman, pre-op, 66, and I told her that things will change soooo much post-op. That she might see herself as heavy and grey now (I did myself, but I'm kinda happy with how I look now, and proud of my aching bones which I acquired biking w/ my kids)) but wls would take 20 yrs. off of her. The body, the attitude...being a participant in life. People blossom. She e-mailed me and told me to drop dead, in capital letters. Got a couple other nasties, too. Not surprisingly, all from pre-ops. Geez, know I was there in my head at that point. Just goes to prove my point. We change! We think it's all physical, but the mental is where the real party is!! Well, that's what you get when you have a big mouth and don't pussyfoot. I got 3 supportive emails for each stinger. Gotta focus on the good, not dwell on the bad. Hug me! LOL!!! Vicki |

| Super Moderator | Hugs to you Vicki. Pity's the person who has to vent on another to feel better, unable to hear the words of who's been there, done that. Keep your big mouth, and don't ever pussyfoot, there're lots out there who need you.

| Administrator | Hey Vicki, I have found that I really have to watch my mouth a bit. Most folks just don't want my opinion. Which is OK. I have often thought that I was really really in the right on an opinion. Well I quickly learned that even though I may have sole ownership of the TRUTH, it pays to simple live the truth rather try to convince others of it. This board is very new, so not many chances of people upsetting each other yet. That is why I really hope that as we talk we can focus on stating things framed about our journey. We are truly a very sensitive bunch. I want to tread very gently on people feelings, continually pointing them to to a loving God who has everything they need just for today. I have never known you to be anything but supportive, and truly appreciate you for that and look forward to only seeing that side of you here. Many people can be blessed by your recovery journey. Craig
