This will be a little long...But here it does Tuesday of last week, I started have a starange pain in my belly. I did not think to much of it and took a sleeping pill, about 10 minutes later I told hubby we have to go to ER now I could barely walk to the car. I get to the ER and a they do some xrays and decide I have an intussusception
intussusception: Definition and Much More from Answers.com. ER calls my surgeron who did my RYN and he tells them to send me to his hospital and he will treat me. Wednesday morning I go for a more indepth CT scan having to drink very nasty stuff like right after my WLS...Doc finally agree with the intussusception and that is is fixing it self and they are just going to watch me the next few days. So lost of pain meds and IVs Thursday morn he come in and does that tapping thing all docs do and about sent me through the roof, he says ' thats it shes going" ack my minds freaks going where. Imediatley to surgery, woke up couple hours late in the CCU, with a 7 inch staple line down the middle of my belly, come to find out, in the whole process my bowel ended up having a large tear and I had infection every where, they took out 12 or 13 cm of my bowel, Spent couple day in CCU and then four more days in a reg surgery unit, being Thankfull for every minute I have. Doc says it was pretty bad and for my hubby to expect the worse when surgery was over, lucky I recovered better then he thought and the infection was caught. Doc was also so surprized because he says this usually happens in children and not adults. Everyone keeps asking me and my grandma who is out here to help me over the next couple weeks thinks it has to do with my WLS and of course I keep telling them no, that if it was so common or was part of the WLS no one would be having it done. Well that was my novel need to go lay down a bit give your loved ones extra special hugs!!!! I have been since I got home oh and I lost another 9lbs while there so I am now working on getting that back!
