Default Still confused about some foods sticking

Here's the thing. I can eat mixed nuts or almonds. I eat a lot of hard cheese. Pratically live on it and protein shakes. I can also eat a corn tortilla with melted cheese in it. So if I can eat cheese and nuts why can't I eat meat. It gets stuck. Chicken and grnd beef .............. No way. Fish is not too bad. BUT no sweet potatoe. Can't stand cottage cheese anymore. I ate a few tiny boiled shrimp last night but they stuck for a little while but then when on through. Ate That sugar free ice cream Bunny something Monday night and got sooo sick. Threw up all night even though I only ate about 1/4 cup. Also burping a lot. Maybe I am swallowing air I don't know. All of this is so confusing to me. Is anyone else having problems like this? My Dr.'s appr is 9/25, my 3 month anniversary. Other than eating problems I feel great. I really think I am doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

The Ice Cream I Would Stay Away From. Even Though Its Sugar Free It Has Whole Milk In It And Prob Still High In Natural Sugars. What Does The Back Say.

i dont think you are doing anything wrong but maybe let your surgeon know? i would think if you had one of those stricture things, all solid stuff would be a problem. im not sure though. hav you tried pureeing the meats?

oh yes and the "sugar free" and "no sugar added" ice creams i would TOTALLY stay away from. my experience with them has not been good at all. even on the smallest amount early out i dumped, and dumped, and dumped some more. you might be able to handle them later on but for now, leave them alone.

What she said about the ice cream. omg ! sick sick sick. sf popsicles if ya gotta have something frozen.

meat and chicken is still a "crap shoot" with me. even ground. When I can eat steak thought it takes me about an hour to eat 3 oz.(i have a mug warmer under my tea saucer to keep it warm) I have a fussy pouch. only thing I haven't had a problem with is with shellfish. I miss eating bread though. I have been known to put a piece in my mouth and chew it , then spit it out how sad am I?

Thanks Guys. I have learned my lesson with the ice cream. No more of that. But just concerned about what to eat. Especially when we at the office go out to eat and I don't want to be unsociable or bring attention to myself. Just on a whole I feel like I am very limited on foods. SHakes, soups and cheese. Sometime egg is ok next time it isn't. Maybe I eat too big of bites or too quick. I chew and chew BUT...................Mattie

It pays to invest in a baby spoon. I take mine wherever I go. try and step up your protein during the early part of the day and when you go out see if they have a veggie dish. (not broccoli!)

Mattie with me it was all trial and error. Some days things went down good and others not so hot. It does get better. I went out to lunch with co-workers for a meeting in the begining when I fist came back to work and I ordered girlled chicken
with some cooked veggies. I just told the waitress what i wanted and they cooked it for me. Just ate a tiny bit and took it easy. I would also bring with me sometimes the carnation instant breakfast shakes, no surgar added ones, with me.
It is like a crap shoot. Been there done that. Just hang in there.
