Ashley and anyone thinking of "should I stay or go?" regarding relationships..here's part of a paper that I wrote 2 years ago to someone and it seems to be helpful to people in your situation...
---------------------------------------------------------------- Questions to ask yourself: to stay or to go? ----- There are times in life when God puts us in someone’s life for a reason. Sometimes it is simply to show them what they are not experiencing. I have always said to anyone trying to decide to stay or leave a relationship, whether it is a married, committed, or just dating relationship these words: The questions to ask yourself are these: Does this man/woman make me more of who I am meant to be when I am with them? Am I more of a man/woman with this person? Do they bring out the best I can be? Do I feel every moment of every day totally cherished by this person? Every time I think of them is it with happiness in my heart or frustration or anger? Am I staying only because it is familiar and easy? Often we stay or perhaps overstay in a relationship when it is long ended only because it is simpler and convenient. What we know is better than the unknown. We know the buttons to push or not push. Even the sex is easier even if it not that great because at least we know what to expect.
