Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  | *hugs* Hi All! Shelby turned one Friday and the HUGE party was Saturday - 141 invited 72 confirmed (at our home)!! Its over, everything is cleaned up and what do I have to show for it? I AM DOWN 60 LBS TOTAL! YEAH FOR ME! Shelby Lynn was absolute angel at her party. She was up early Saturday, only took a 45 minute nap (usually 3 hours) and partied wonderfully till 9 PM! She wore her adorable pola dot party dress, ate a cupcake for the first time, batted at the Elmo pinata, and so much more! I was sad on Friday - my little preemie who was onyl 4 lbs when we came home from hospital was a year old! But after seeing her in action and celebrating this HUGE milestone with her all weekend, I am over it. OK - so Ive not been doing well eating. EVERYTHING sticks in the throat. So to avoid, I dont eat. What does it matter really, Im not hungry right? I know, I know. Protein, Protein, Protein. So this week is going to be different. Gonna get all of my protein in. I always get my water in, but going to continue with that as well. I always remember my vitamin and my synthroid. Its just the dang protein. GRRRR. I have a visit with my surgeron on Thursday evening... 7 weeks post op. I will buy another flavor of the protein shake to spice things up around here. Try that on for size. Hubby got a job offer making $4 less an hour but close to home with excellent benefits. We decided to pass on it and keep trying to find something making closer to what he makes now. You don't realize it, but thats $160 a week! Even though this was a good opportunity for him to expand his knowledge, we cant afford for him to make that much less. The search continues. I should be around more often now that the party and planning is over. Ive missed you all and look forward to catching up with you through your postings.
