Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I went on Wed to see my nut for the first time. It went well and she gave me my papers to start my food journal. I guess I always new I have had problems with some foods(Like cheezy poofs) But I never thought I could be addicted to something like food. I have not looked at it as that I have always been told it is because I am a weak person and just can't control it. I don't eat cheezy poofs anymore..lol I stopped them years ago but I have been looking into my diet to see if there is other things in there that are sneaking in there as addictions. And with being layed up all summer with my foot I gained three pounds so I left for my Canada trip Wed afternoon in a slump. I am here with my inlaws and have a wedding to go to tomorrow. My brother in law is finally getting married. (we thought he would hit 40 first..lol) Also.. I have noticed over the years that they just don't have the overweight problems here in Montreal QE that we have down there. And I guess I always feel bad up here because I stand out in the crowd. And that is no poop.. A church full of 200 ppl and I am the only fatty it is hard sometimes but I am hanging in there and wont let all this get in the way of being happy for my brother in law. I told my sister in law yesterday about my surg (she is a nurse) and she is happy that I am going to get this done. But I wont tell the others here they wont feel the same I know they wont. They still think I just can do this on my own like I have before but I want to keep it off and not have to starve myself for the rest of my life. I need this tool to help me and I want it.. Sorry for venting but I think if I had not found out I gained three pounds over the summer on the day I came up it may not be so bad. (I can start my water aerobics again Sept 17th) Wish me luck with my foot. I am going to wear a neoprene brace.. I like working out I miss it.. Thanks for letting me vent here.. I have found I can say stuff here that I cant even say to my hubby... hugs to all.. |

lisa, good for you to be celebrating your bro-in-law. people are soooo judgemental, my own mom brow beated me for having the surgery, and my ver best friend had some snide comments about who will be the size 12 now, in all actuallity she hasn't been a 12 for about 15 years! We were never friends whe we were younger, she svelt , me obese always. we have drifted apart now, but the truth is i am still over 200 lbs three years out. i would like to lose another 40, but i have drifted to the dark side and am getting back on track again. folks who have never been obese will never understand, there is nothing week about me, i have never eaten a dozen donuts or a bag of potato chips at one time. just let it roll off kiddo! Peace! Jilarie

I wouldnt get so down on yourself, you gained 3 lbs during the whole summer. You are still doing better than you were years ago. Keep the faith. I know what you mean about being around smaller family...I had the same thing when I went to Missouri for the first time to meet my new family. They are all 5'4 and under 130 lbs! I had a hard time walking around with them because of all of the mountains. GRRRRR Next year will definately be different!!! LOLOL. We are all here for one another, good and bad! Good luck with the foot!

(((((HUGS))))) Wishing you that your visit turn out well. It isn't easy when you know you've been doing your best but the results don't seem to show up to others, but you know the Big Guy above sees all, knows all. You're doing well, and willing to work hard, that's what counts. I hope your foot gets better soon.
